There’s something so beautiful about layers of intricate die cutting, and today’s project is full of them! We’re creating an elegant, dimensional card with the Tufted Rose Concentric Frame 3D Die Set. With gorgeous scrollwork, a tufted trellis design and beautiful details, this set makes it easy to create cards that look truly opulent.
The Tufted Rose Concentric Frame 3D Die Set includes four beautiful dies designed to work together. You’ll get the intricate tufted rose frame, coordinating layers for creating dimensional frames and a gorgeous floral bouquet die that makes a stunning centerpiece. What’s great is that you can use the dies together or separately to create something completely different each time. They are also 3D dies, so you can create incredible embossed detail or use them with your Empress Gild for beautiful gilded effects.
Today, we’re pairing these dies with Lavender Matte Foil, Gold Matte Foil and embellishments from the Mirror Card Crafting Kit. Come get crafty with us!
Cut the intricate Tufted Rose Concentric Frame and inner frame from Lavender Matte Foil.
Create the shadow frame with the shadow layer and inner shadow die. Use your intricate frame as a guide for placement, remove it and run the dies through your machine.
Cut the intricate frame again from Gold Matte Foil cardstock. That beautiful gold is going to add such an elegant touch!
Use a craft knife to carefully fussy cut around the elaborate scrollwork of the gold frame. What’s great is that this gives you a delicate decorative layer that looks completely custom.
Add the inner shadow layer to your card base.
Place stickers from the Mirror Card Crafting Kit on either side of the card. It’s always fun to decorate from the bottom up and let your embellishments peek out from behind the frame.
Add more stickers to the top and bottom of your card to continue building your beautiful collage.
Apply foam adhesive to the back of your shadow frame and attach it to the card. Now you have wonderful dimension and an almost shadow box effect.
Add the Lavender Matte Foil intricate frame to the shadow layer. Keep this layer flat so all of those gorgeous details stack together beautifully.
Place your fussy cut Gold Matte Foil frame on top. Take your time with the delicate scrollwork and use double-sided adhesive or liquid glue to secure it. Now you can really see those layers come together. So pretty!
Add embellishments and a sentiment from the Mirror Card Crafting Kit. Try placing your embellishments toward one side so that plenty of the beautiful tufted design remains visible.
Fill out your collage with additional stickers. Add as much or as little as you like.
Now you have a beautiful, dimensional card that is ready to make someone’s day!
