Hi Crafters,
Welcome to Charm School! I’m so glad you’re here because we’re diving into something delightfully spooky and oh so easy— Spellbound Sentiment Rub On Transfers Made Easy! That’s a mouthful, but these rub ons are a lifesaver when you’re not sure what to say on your cards. With 128 incredible sentiments made just for Halloween, you’ll always have just the right words— “Beware,” “Look What You Made Me Brew,” “Love at First Fright,” and more!
What's great is that these sentiments go on the inside and outside of your cards. They're perfect for treat bags, lunchbox notes or spooky greetings to friends and family. They transfer to just about any surface— cardstock, ribbon, even glass! And when paired with shimmer and foil papers, the effect is simply magical.
Today we’re using these rub ons along with layers from your stash and a few favorite dies to create a charming Halloween card that’s full of fright and florals. Let’s get started!
Start by cutting an oval using the Stained Glass Card Front Dies from a fun layer in your Vintage Halloween Card Kit.
Next, use one of the inner decorative dies from the Stained Glass set and the little pumpkin outline from Scary Concentric Dies to cut pieces from Luxury Matte Foil Cardstock. These add just the right shine!
Cut a flourish and pumpkin from the lavender sheet in Luxury Matte Foil Cardstock - Antique. So pretty and unexpected for Halloween!
Choose your rub on sentiment— we’re using “Love at First Fright.” Trim it close, peel off the wax paper backing, and place it onto shimmer cardstock. Then rub it on using a bone folder, a butter knife or even the side of a coin. It’s like a scratch off ticket, but way prettier!
If anything doesn’t stick perfectly the first time, just lay the sheet back down and press again. Easy fix!
Add your decorated layer to an ivory card base.
Use foam adhesive to pop up your gold diecut layers.
Use a tape runner to add the patterned oval layer to the gold one.
Add a background from the Witchy Card Making Kit. Everything layers so beautifully!
Place two purple flowers from the Thankfulness Floral Stickers at the top right and bottom left. Flowers and Halloween? Absolutely!
Next, attach your “Love at First Fright” sentiment.
Finish with a rub on pumpkin from the Scary White Rub Ons, your layered lavender pumpkin and a flourish. Voilà— done!
Now you have a wonderful, floral card that's perfect for spooky season.
Use your favorite fall embellishments and papers with the Spellbound Rub On Transfers for Halloween cards for everyone!
What's great about the Spellbound Sentiment Rub On Transfers is that they are backed with an opaque white background, so they show up on black matte foil cardstock and other dark papers.
You will love creating sentiments inside and out with this set of 128 sentiment rub ons.
