Green layered card with pieced Santa and holly

Mr. Claus 3D Dies- Made Easy

Hello crafters,

We hope that your holiday season has been all things merry! Today we're going to make a cheerful, Christmas card by paper piecing a very festive Santa using the Mr. Claus 3D Dies. Using your different papers, textures and patterns brings Santa to life in the most delightful way. Just think-- create Santa in every ethnicity, in different colored outfits, accessories and more. What's great about paper piecing is that it gives you endless creativity and you get to use your precious paper scraps.

Get out your Mr. Claus 3D Dies and let's get started!

First use different pieces of paper for your paper piecing. Be sure that everything lines up properly so you get all of the pieces you need.

Continue with your paper piecing. The red piece also gets the hat, but do it in 2 passes through your machine to ensure that you get all of the details.

Place clear tape on the back of your diecut Santa and get ready to inlay.

We love that you can add pattern here without it being too busy.

Get out your craft knife and fussy cut Santa's face to add. This color is from the Luxury Shimmer Cardstock- Antique.

Next, start attaching all of the different pieces that you cut.

Place your Santa onto his shadow layer; we used gold cardstock for it.

Then, we created a layered card from the CAH2 Frame Dies and CAH3 Frame Dies. We mixed various papers from Christmas Kitsch, Holiday Hearth and more.

Add Santa with foam adhesive as shown.

Add a couple of holly stickers and a holiday sticker of your choice. We chose one that says Holiday Greetings!

This is the perfect card to add to any of the presents you are gifting this holiday season!

See how fun using various patterns is? So much fun!

Santa can be dressed in so many different ways. 'Tis the season!

Create easel cards and more with the Mr. Claus 3D Dies

I did purchase this die but did not use it this year. Was busy with the Victorian Christmas kit and others from Anna’s workshop! lol. I will be using the Village die and this Santa die for next years cards. Thanks for all you do teaching us to be creative and wishing you and your team Happy holidays, Merry Christmas and blessings in the New Year. 🌸
