Hydrangea 3D Dies- Made Easy

Hydrangea 3D Dies- Made Easy

Hi Crafters,

Fresh flowers never go out of style, and today’s project brings the beauty of hydrangeas right to your craft table. We’re creating a gorgeous dimensional card using the featured Hydrangea 3D Dies. These beautiful dies are perfect for bringing the garden indoors with realistic blooms, embossed details and layered paper artistry. What’s great is that you can customize your flowers in any color to match your favorite garden! For today’s project, we’re using pink hydrangeas for a soft and elegant look.

Along with the Hydrangea 3D Dies, we’re using craft room items that work together beautifully to create a card filled with texture, dimension and charm. Today, we're going to show you how to make something lovely with the beautiful supplies linked. It’s always fun to create flowers that never fade, and this project is just for you if you love layering and dimensional diecuts.

Begin by using the Crop at Home 3 Border Dies to cut two intricate borders from Rose Gold Matte Foil Cardstock.

Cut a rectangle shadow layer from Luxury Ivory Soft Matte Cardstock and another from Tea Cup Double-Sided Cardstock.

Diecut the Hydrangea 3D Dies from sage green, matte pink, pink shimmer and green cardstock.

Emboss and shape the diecuts using a foam mat and scoring tool. Add gentle curves to make the flowers look more realistic.

Fussy cut the hydrangea blooms from the flower tops with scissors or a craft knife. This simple technique adds wonderful definition and creates beautiful dimensional layers.

Adhere the layered border diecuts to a Francesca card base as shown. Back the borders with the ivory cardstock so the intricate details stand out.

Layer the pink blooms over the green hydrangea bases. What’s great is that combining multiple colors creates the look of natural light and shadow in the garden.

Arrange floral embellishments from the Jasmine Papercrafting Collection along with decorative flourishes to create a lush floral composition.

Place the layered hydrangea blooms over the green stems. Use foam adhesive for extra dimension and a more life-like effect.

Place a couple more of the flourishes for added interest.

Add the light green leaves for added dimension.

Attach the Thinking of You sentiment banner near the stems, and finish with an ivory Perfect Bow to complete the design.

Use inks and more to bring your flowers to life.

Add little yellow centers to create gorgeous flowers. Layer hydrangea diecuts with floral embellishments for a rich, garden-inspired look.

Our Hydrangea Luxury Matte Foil Cardstock is the prettiest shade of blue and it shows off all the amazing details. Mix cardstock finishes and colors to create depth and realistic shading.

Now you have a beautiful floral card that looks like a bouquet arranged by hand. The sculpted flowers, layered details and elegant borders create a keepsake card perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, thinking of you cards and so much more.

The Hydrangea 3D Dies are a wonderful addition to your craft room because they work beautifully all year long. Whether you create pink, blue, white or even purple blooms, these dies make it easy to bring your favorite flowers to life with paper.
