Fan Mail Friday - Griffinites Give Create 10

Fan Mail Friday - Griffinites Give Create 10

Hello friends,

September is flying by at warp speed, but we are happy to take a moment to pause and catch up with all of our favorite people. We want to start by saying thank you for being with us this week for everything from our AG Members Only show to our Anna Griffin Elegant Papercrafting shows on HSN. It has been a long but creative week. There are no other crafters that we would rather spend our time with!

Let's catch up! We're also going to do something very special: gift Create 10 from a very special Griffinite!

Our Create events have brought together numerous crafters, and has been the beginning of many beautiful friendships. Clare sent this (not Fan Mail Friday) card and we just had to share the lovely picture of Lynn, Kathleen, Cathy, Clare, Suzanne and Linda. So special!

We loved being able to meet crafter Cathy Crowley at our Create 5 event in person. She understands what a wonderful and joyous occasion our Create events are, and Cathy had a great time being able to be creative and further her crafting skills, even if she had to step outside her comfort zone. Although she is unable to attend this year because she is recovering from a virus (hugs to you Cathy), she wants to sponsor someone for this year's Create 10. Cathy is giving the chance for a lucky crafter to experience the event.

So, if you would love to win a ticket to Create we want you to comment here on the blog and tell us about the power of meeting people, making new friends and putting yourself out there. Share a story where you did just that, and about how you are so glad that you did!

If you would like to gift Create to someone deserving, please contact customer service and let them know that you want to pay it forward. From there we will tell your story and prompt the community. Thank you so much for your love and generosity. It means so much, and is a wonderful thing to see!

We are officially less than 50 days away from the Create 10! We have a special deal on the crafting event of the year for a limited time only. Get your event ticket and over $2000 in crafting supplies and materials for $450!

We look forward to the treat of your cards and letters each week. If you would like to send something to our office, you can mail it to us at 99 Armour Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30324.

We'll be back next week with more beautiful fan mail, the first of the Griffinites Give winners and another chance for you to win Create 10 from the kind, generous crafters in our community.

Xoxo,

Anna

I have been a crafter most of my life, and it is so fulfilling. I have since retired and continue to craft and help others learn, my dear friends are so talented and learned quickly. I attended a few Crop at Home (2) and Create (2) and what a thrill, learned so many new and beautiful techniques. Anna and your staff energy and warmth comes across the screen right into my room. I am a Finishing school member since the beginning, and use it so often if it was a book, it would be worn out. When I am not crafting, I help a lady with Dementia, unfortunately she could not grasp or sit still long enough to make a card. I make sure I make one for her every holiday.I am now on a fixed income live in a wonderful Senior Seasoned Citizen building. I would love to partake in Create this year and have tried to save, but could not swing it. I would be thrilled to win so I can share new techniques with my fellow crafters. Thank you Anna and Staff and God bless.

Hello everyone. A little bit of my story. I became a widow at age 51, that was 16 years ago. My husband was only 54 and died of Leukemia in less than 8 months. I have 5 children and was just devastated! I didn’t want to go anywhere or doing anything. For years I didn’t even craft. I was feeling so sorry for myself. I even stopped going to church for 2 years. That’s how sad and mad I was. My family didn’t give up on me. I finally with one of my daughters I joined a new church. Everyone was so nice and inviting. I felt a renewed purpose. Five years after my husband passed I lost my 27 son in law to brain cancer. It was very rough seeing my daughter become a widow herself with 2 young children, the youngest was just 16 months old and just being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. It really put my life into perspective. It took me a little while but God showed me that I wasn’t the only one who has problems. I’m now disabled but I try to look more on the bright side. Financially I haven’t been ever able to attend Create but a lady can always dream, and I realize I’m not the only one.

Thank you Cathy for such a generous gesture! I am very shy and it is very difficult to make friends. My neighbor 20 years ago introduced me to paper crafting and it has become my most favorite thing to do. I even decided to do some local craft shows which I was very nervous about. I was definitely stepping out of my comfort zone, but soon discovered sharing my creations brought me such joy that I was able to overcome the anxiety. I have suffered with medical issues for most of my life and financially it is just out of my budget to attend Create. It really would be a dream come true to participate with so many incredible crafters!

This will be my sixth event I have attended. I love every minute of them. Learned so much to enhancenmy cardmaking and scrapbooking. Would like to nominate a friend that have never attended any of Anna Griffin’s events. Her name is Pamela Scott. I know she would thoroughly enjoy it.

I hit the wrong button and posted 2 sentences before completing my wish. I would like to nominate Diane Willms sister who is having health difficulties with her sight. I don’t have the money to purchase another ticket to Create 10, but would be willing to donate what I purchased but haven’t received yet if that’s allowed. I know what it’s like to have health issues and short on funds.
If she loses sight in her other eye it will be much more difficult for her to participate in any Create. I can always save up another time to participate so I’d like to donate my ticket to her if it’s allowed. So she can create with her sister maybe for the last time with her eyesight. Thank you in advance Anna and team for all you do to help and provide for all of us to do such beautiful things!
