Hi Crafters,
It’s always fun to find fresh new ways to create beautiful cards, and this week’s project is blooming with possibilities! We’re creating an elegant dimensional card with the Dahlia Ultimate Papercrafting Collection. The gorgeous Art Nouveau patterns, organic florals and rich colors make every layer something special.
The Dahlia Ultimate Papercrafting Collection gives you an amazing 308 pieces to create with. You’ll find double-sided cardstock, 5" x 7" cards, envelopes, card layers, photo mats, card sentiment inserts, border stickers, sentiments and 90 beautiful embellishments. Everything coordinates in a lovely palette of navy, peach, pink, light blue and green. What’s great is that you can mix, match and layer everything to create cards that are completely your own.
Today, we’re turning one of the beautiful Dahlia border stickers into a dimensional belly band. Then we’ll add a colorful peacock, gorgeous florals and a sweet sentiment to finish the card. Come get crafty with us!
Cut one of the peach geometric patterns with the inner frame die from the Peacock Scene Dies.

Cut one Dahlia border sticker to 5", leaving one 5" piece and one 7" piece.

Connect the remaining 7" piece to a 12" border sticker to create one longer border.
Score the connected border at 5", 5.5", 10.5" and 11".

Fold along the score lines to create your wonderful little dimensional band. So pretty!

Add adhesive to the back of the inner shadow layer.

Attach the shadow layer to the card. Place double-sided adhesive across the layer where the belly band will sit.

Position the border approximately 1.25" up from the bottom of the card base.
Attach the band so that the folded sections create a dimensional platform across the front of your card.

Add foam adhesive to the corner stickers from the Dahlia Ultimate Papercrafting Collection. Place the corner stickers at the top of the card to add beautiful floral detail and dimension.

Gather some of your favorite Dahlia diecuts to decorate the card. Now you get to have fun creating your focal point!

Place the colorful peacock in the middle of the shadow layer. Add the floral diecut above and to the right of the peacock.

Layer the intricate Dahlia diecut in the middle of the belly band.

Add the “To An Amazing Friend” sentiment to the center circle of the diecut. Add even more special details if you like. A tiny fussy-cut embellishment or an extra floral accent can make your card feel completely unique.

The Dahlia Ultimate Papercrafting Collection works beautifully with so many dies already in your craft room. Cut your favorite shapes from the patterned papers, add coordinating embellishments and finish with one of the included sentiments.

It’s always fun to see how one collection can inspire so many different projects. Use Dahlia for cards, scrapbook pages and other paper crafts. The organic Art Nouveau designs are so, so pretty!

You can be extra creative with the Dahlia Ultimate Papercrafting Collection.

All of the pieces work together so you can make quick, easy cards.

Most of all, use your finished cards to reach out to friends and loved ones. A beautiful handmade card with a thoughtful sentiment is such a wonderful way to let someone know you’re thinking of them.

The organic designs are so, so pretty!

We love how to light and dark designs pop when paired together!

I know I’m a little late to the show, just watched Anna’s interview with Gregg and (Jade) about AI and Vintage Design. I really enjoyed it. I too have been wondering how AI will fit into my life, me being a retired Senior now.
Great techniques. I can see this will go perfectly with the Salon Nouveau Finishing School from several years ago. I hope to see more corner embellishments in future kits as they add such a nice touch.
Happy Crafting!
As Anna was fanning the papers, I noticed that some of the colors and patterns on the opposite can be used for a more masculine card. Dahlia becomes very versatile papercrafting kit with Gentleman’s Study dies or border dies.
Such a beautiful paper crafting collection. I have ordered this and the Peacock Scene dies and so looking forward to receive them!! I know the colors will be even more vibrant in person!! Thank you.🌸
The Dahlia style will be a challenge for me since I prefer brighter colors ! But the designs are intriguing so I am excitedly waiting for my Dahlia to arrive !🥰
