Dahlia, Mum and Sunflower 3D Floral Dies- Made Easy

There's something so beautiful about a garden full of colorful flowers! Now you can bring the beauty of your favorite blooms to your handmade cards with our 3D Dahlia, Sunflower and Coneflower Dies! Today, we're going to show you how to create a gorgeous floral composition using our Perfect Petal Double Sided 12" x 12" Cardstock. It's like painting with paper, and the results are simply stunning!

What's great about the Dahlia, Mum and Sunflower 3D Floral Dies is that you get beautifully detailed floral dies and coordinating shadow layers that make creating lifelike flowers so easy. These incredible 3D dies cut, emboss, engrave and even gild! You can create beautiful flowers in a single color, add gorgeous foil details or layer colorful papers for a dimensional masterpiece. The double-sided ombre cardstock makes it even more fun, with shades that transition from light to dark for naturally beautiful petals and leaves.

Start by using your Dahlia, Mum and Sunflower 3D Floral Dies to cut multiple flowers and shadow layers from the Perfect Petal Double Sided 12" x 12" Cardstock. Choose different shades of pink, peach, red and green to bring your flowers to life.

Use a craft knife or scissors to fussy cut the leaves, flower centers and individual petals from your diecuts. You can cut multiple pieces from the same flower to create all of the layers you need.

Layer your pieces together, starting with the green shadow layer and building up your colorful blooms. Add the flower centers and finish with the petals. Painting with paper is so much fun! Use a little foam adhesive for dimension, or keep your layers flatter for a more lifelike look.

Start with an ivory card base. Choose a photo mat layer from the Antique Botanical Ultimate Papercrafting Kit. Carefully cut out the center to create a beautiful border. Flip the inside piece over to reveal the pretty pattern on the reverse side. So pretty!

Adhere your border and patterned center to the front of your ivory card. Now you have the perfect background for your floral garden!

Add gold foil flourishes from the Christmas Grace Card Making Kit to the upper left corner and along the sides of your card. These elegant details give your flowers a beautiful place to grow.

Arrange your paper-pieced floral embellishments on the card, layering the flowers and leaves to create a natural garden scene. Add a sweet little bee for extra movement and charm!

Cut apart another flower and tuck the individual blooms along the bottom of your card. It's always fun to make your flowers look as though they're growing right off the page!

Finish your composition with a lovely sentiment, and add your final gold foil corner flourish.

What's so wonderful about these dies is how many different looks you can create. Turn your cardstock over to use the opposite ombre shades, combine dahlias, sunflowers and mums for a stunning bouquet, or experiment with inks and floral stickers for even more detail.
