Black coffin card with black and orange vampire

Coffin Box Card Dies- Made Easy

Hello crafters,

Our Coffin Box Dies are just what you need for a fang-tastic Halloween! Whether you are sending these to your grandkids or gifting them to this year’s trick or treaters, everyone will love getting their very own Dracula and coffin! There are a million different ways to decorate these coffins with your favorite papers, patterns and decorations. If you don’t have these spooktacular dies, you can get them on sale on our website this week. They will provide you with the wow (and eek) factor that you need to flaunt and haunt with your Halloween cards.

Let’s make a card together. Open if you dare!

First, cut your coffin out of a paper of your choice. We used a pattern from Halloween for All!

What’s fun is that you can use the dies to cut a certain additional pieces to use on your coffin.

We cut a piece of black metallic cardstock making sure that the middle and tab are fully cut.

We also cut a layer for the inside of the coffin with a flocked cardstock.

To add additional texture, we embossed the black lid with an embossing folder.

Add tear tape to the edges of the coffin. Roll them in and adhere to the coffin.

Be sure to press down to make sure that your coffin is all together.

Your coffin is ready to decorate!

Add tear tape to the tab and add to the left side of your coffin.

Press to secure.

Add the shadow layer and your vampire to the inside of the coffin. We love the way the Luxury Fall Matte Foil Cardstock pops!

Fussy cut a face out of white and add to the vampire.

Use a pen or marker to make your card’s details pop.

Our Retro Halloween Stickers decorate the coffin perfectly!

Add more stickers from Retro Halloween, Mini Halloween Stickers and Sentiments and Vintage Halloween Card Making Kit to add finishing touches.

Send bugs and hisses to everyone on your trick or treat list!

This card is so much fun, down to the glowing red eyes! We know that you will love making it.

There are so many options when it comes to making  your coffin box cards!

Inlay dapper details on your stylish vampires.

Scenes on the opening add fun Halloween scenes on  your cards.

For added texture, try rub ons on your coffins.

Play with patterns until you get your cards just right!

I never thought it would be possible to make cards like these. I am so excited to see these cards. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Thanks for the tutorial on the coffin box. I made 2 of them for our grandsons and tried to find instructions. Another Griffinite directed me to a YouTube demo Anna had done. It will be nice to have this tutorial posted and accessible on Anna‘s Charm School. BTW, our 14 yr old grandson in particular, was over the moon receiving this cute coffin with Dracula. He kept thanking me over and over again because he knew I had made it just for him!

I just made one this past weekend for my brother. It was not at all difficult but took time because I added a lot of decorations. I did add hot glue to the corners to make sure it stayed in place. It was fun & I plan to make 2 more this week.
