Christmas Clever Scene Cards- Made Easy

Hi Crafters,

This week we’re making something cleverly beautiful! Our featured project is all about adding surprise and delight to your holiday cards with the Clever Sliding Scenes Dies and Christmas Clever Sliding Scenes Cardstock. These are not your everyday cards— these are wow-worthy, interactive masterpieces!

What’s great is that the die set includes a large sleeve die, a smaller inner scene die, decorative elements, a tab die and detailed instructions to create a perfectly engineered reveal. Pair that with the coordinating Christmas Clever Sliding Scenes Cardstock, and you’ll get 36 patterned pieces designed to work front and back— making it easy to create that magical sliding message.

Let’s jump into the joy of making!

First, cut both coordinating scene pieces using the Christmas Clever Sliding Scenes Cardstock and Clever Scenes Dies.

Cut a pocket sleeve using a festive sheet from the Christmas Paper Anthology.

Interlock the smaller diecut piece into the larger one to create the sliding mechanism—no adhesive needed here, just weave those “paper teeth” together!

Apply tear tape to the slider pocket tabs. Remove the backing from the top tab and adhere it. Then remove the outermost strip of tape on the bottom tab, fold it up and secure.

Take off the remaining tape strips.

Fold in the right tab and stick it down.

Close your card completely and give it a good press to hold everything in place.

Now for the front—diecut a decorative frame using the 3D Gothic Concentric Frame Dies and adhere it to the front of your pocket.

Add a gorgeous holly collage from the Retro Holly Sticker Library at the top and a lovely poinsettia at the bottom center.

And just like that, your sliding scene card is ready to dazzle! 

What’s great is that you can mix and match all your favorite Christmas embellishments, stickers and dies to personalize each one.

Play with adding different frame dies on the front. Try threading ribbon through the diecut frame or switch up the cardstock for elegant or playful holiday vibes.
