It’s always fun to take a beautiful card kit and elevate it to something truly extraordinary. Today we’re creating a stunning shadow box card using the Birthday Present Scroll Dies with the Birthday Present Card Making Kit. So pretty and just your style.

What’s great is that the Birthday Present Scroll Dies emboss, engrave and die cut all at once. You get multiple scroll frame dies that nest perfectly together to create layered dimension. They work beautifully with matte foil cardstock, vellum and all your favorite papers. Now you, let’s make this beautiful shadow box card together.

Begin by nesting all of the dies from the Birthday Present Scroll Dies together on pink matte foil cardstock. Place them carefully so you don’t waste a single scrap. Run them through your diecutting machine to cut all the layers at once.

Nest the large frame die with the smaller frame die inside to create another frame. Cut a second set from the same pink matte foil cardstock so you have two complete layered frames.

Add the smaller diecut pieces to the center of your card. Use the large frame die as a guide for perfect placement. Press them down securely.

Gather two floral stickers and two gold foil embellishments from your Birthday Present Card Making Kit. What’s great is that everything coordinates beautifully.

Add your floral stickers to the bottom of the smaller frames. This builds that lovely foundation inside your shadow box.

Add additional stickers to the middle and top of the smaller frames. Layering like this creates anticipation for the final reveal.

Place foam adhesive generously on the back of the first large frame. Center it carefully over your decorated base and press into place.

Add foam adhesive to the second frame to create the shadow box effect. Align it directly over the first frame for that gorgeous three-dimensional look. So pretty!

Add two floral stickers to the top left of the card along with a Happy Birthday sentiment. The gold foil embellishments can be tucked in for extra shine and elegance.

Step back and admire your work. It’s amazing how nesting the dies creates depth and drama with just a few extra layers.
