BBQ Scene Dies- Made Easy

Hi crafters,

Summer is the perfect time to celebrate the great outdoors, and nothing says summer quite like a backyard BBQ! This week’s Made Easy tutorial features the BBQ Scene Dies, a delightful die set that brings the fun of the grill to your handmade cards!

Whether you're crafting for Father’s Day, the Fourth of July, a summer birthday or just because, this die set makes it easy to create a custom card scene for anyone who enjoys a cookout! You can paper piece your way to a unique BBQ card with all of your favorite patterns and textures.

Let's get started!

First, we're going to cut the pieces out of various cardstock. First cut the grill, grill cover and hamburger out of the Navy Metallic Cardstock using your Empress Machine or diecutting/ embossing machine.

Next, all of these dies are used on the Gold Matte Foil Cardstock.

The picnic table, burger and accessories can be made with some of your saved scraps.

Use your craft knife to fussy cut the burger buns, lettuce and plate. Fussy cut the grill grate off of your gold grill diecut.

Use xyron or glue to stick your burger together.

Add a frame die of your choice to a 5x7 card, we used the Birthday Greetings Concentric Dies and our Handsome Papers and Embellishments. Diecuts from Handsome Papers and Embellishments call for a time to celebrate.

Your 3D picnic table is added to the bottom of the card along with the grill shadow layer.

Next, the gold shadow layer, navy grill goes on top and fussy cut grate get added.

Add your top at an angle as shown.

Finish the scene with you bbq tools, an oven mitt, bottle and glass— we used the silver, holiday and Christmas Wishes matte foil.

Your layered burger makes this scene just perfect!

There are so many ways that you can create with these dies. Customize and personalize for anyone who loves a handmade card.
