Empress Mini Embossing Die Cutting Machine

I have only had a chance to play with my new "toy" once so far. I really enjoyed trying all the different things out (cutting, embossing a die cut and using the embossing folder). My only reason for giving it only 4 stars is I'm not quite sure if we are suppose to cut into the magnetic mat or not. I have watched many videos on u-tube and everyone seems to have their own special way of using the plates and metal shim. Even Anna seems to do things a bit different from time to time. I just wish someone would tell me the best way to make my cutting "sandwich". Other than that, I love my new die cutting machine. Perfect size for most of my die cutting needs and small enough to fit right on my crafting desk.

Not sure how I went so long without having this in my tool belt. I have 3 other small die cutting machines, all manual, and they are not consistent like the Empress mini. I have those other 3 because one stopped work on this set of dies, and the next on a different set. It's great that it's plates are a little larger so I can still make full size cards with a smaller machine....that I don't have to hand crank!

My mini is perfect! The cuts are clean even on the most intricate pieces. I just wish there was a way to preserve the plates. I’m afraid I’m going to go through them faster than I care.

I love this little machine. As soon as it arrived I started using it to cut so many pieces out I have already worn out the plates. So I will need to order another set. I would recommend this mini machine for all the little pieces. You can fit so many on the magnetic board.
