Shamrock Kirigami Dies - Made Easy

Hi crafters,

St. Patrick's Day is this Sunday! If you have the wonderful Shamrock Kirigami Dies, then get them out to make this card with us! If you don't have them yet, they are on sale on our website this week. We love to take the hard parts of crafting and to make them easy for you! Kirigami is a Japanese term for cutting paper. Cobweb cards were all the rage in the Victorian era, and now you can get the effect in just one pass through your diecutting and embossing machine! The Shamrock Kirigami Dies are so much fun to create cards with.

Let's get started!

First cut a piece of patterned cardstock (ours is from the Lucky for All Papercrafting Kit) with the large shadow layer.

Next, nest the large shamrock with the large shadow layer on another patterned cardstock (this pattern is also from the Lucky For All Papercrafting Kit).

Create a frame from 2 pieces of gold matte foil cardstock using the Charmed Concentric Dies. Cut as shown.

Create shamrocks for your kirigami pull with the Spring Icon Cut and Emboss Folders. Make 2 gold shamrocks.

Our base card and embellishments are from the Charmed Vellum Cardstock. Add your double-layered gold frame and your shamrock shadow layer with sentiment in the middle.

After you thread your kirigami pull, add a shamrock onto the end.

Duplex 2 shamrocks together to create a golden shamrock pull.

Now you can pull your diecut up to reveal  your message.

A Happy St. Patrick's Day sentiment and a floral embellishment complete your card in a beautiful way!

Send this cheerful card to anyone on your card giving list; it's sure to bring a smile to anyone's face!

We know that the cards that you will make with the Shamrock Kirigami Dies will be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for whomever receives it. You can use the 2 smaller shamrocks on the same card.

How fun is it to add a shamrock rub on from the Spring Rub On Transfers?

The Shamrock Kirigami Dies make a great pair with the Lucky 3D Concentric Layer Dies.

We hope that you have enjoyed this week's tutorial with the Shamrock Kirigami Dies. St. Patrick's Day is such a fun holiday, best celebrated with a fun card. We wish the luck of the Irish to you all! Today's how to will be here on the blog for the next week, and afterwards you can access it anytime with an AG Membership. If you are an AG Member, be sure to join us at 12pm EST today for our March Members Only show!

I haven’t worked with any of the Kirigami dies but it is always fascinating to see how these work. The greens and golds always work so well together too!
