Inside the Mystery Box- April

Hi crafters,

April’s Papercrafting Mystery Box is a beautiful escape into the elegance of chinoiserie—where intricate patterns, graceful motifs and vibrant color come together in the most inspiring way. This month’s collection is rich with detail and full of personality, blending classic influences with fresh, lively hues that make every project feel like a work of art.

There are bold florals, decorative borders, ornate accents and even butterfly dies to bring your creations to life with movement and dimension. It’s a box that invites you to play, layer and explore, while still having everything perfectly coordinated for effortless crafting! April is all about storytelling through pattern and color. Each piece feels collected and curated, giving your cards and projects a sense of refinement, beauty and charm.

Designed for Beautiful Layers

As always, every element inside the Mystery Box has been thoughtfully designed to work together seamlessly. From patterned papers and coordinating cardstock to embellishments, sentiments and dies, everything you need is right at your fingertips.

Start with a statement pattern. Add a complementary layer to frame your design. Choose a focal point—perhaps a butterfly or ornate motif—and build dimension with layers and embellishments. Finish with a sentiment that completes your story. The result? Projects that feel elevated, artistic and uniquely yours.

This month’s collection is wonderfully versatile, making it perfect for:

  • Spring and summer celebrations
  • Elegant birthday cards with bold personality
  • Thank you notes with a refined touch
  • Thinking of you cards that feel meaningful and special
  • Dimensional projects featuring butterflies and layered details

April crafting is about embracing color, pattern and the joy of creating something truly distinctive, and this box makes it effortless. Let’s unbox this month’s stunning collection!

She also created a gorgeous assortment of cards using the contents of this month’s box, along with a few favorite tools from her craft room. Her projects highlight just how easy it is to mix intricate patterns with bold color while still achieving a balanced, elegant look.

You’ll see how layering decorative elements, incorporating movement with butterflies and combining textures creates designs that feel both timeless and expressive.

Can someone tell us what die frame is used in the first card after videos? The one with the two large butterflies? So beautiful!

Everything looks so fresh and lovely. Would you ever consider the option of a mystery box without dies? Or perhaps a card mystery box?
