Gratitude: A Daily Practice of Thankfulness

Gratitude: A Daily Practice of Thankfulness

Hello!

Gratitude. It’s a word we hear often, but do we truly practice it as much as we could? This November, we have an entire day dedicated to creating gratitude during our biannual Create event. In a world that moves at a frantic pace, it’s easy to overlook the countless blessings around us. Yet, taking a moment to acknowledge what we have can completely shift our perspective. Gratitude doesn’t just help us appreciate the good things in life—it can also ground us, creating a sense of calm and purpose amid the hustle and bustle.

At Anna Griffin, Inc., we see gratitude as a vital part of both our work and our lives. Each time we receive a thoughtful note or a handmade card from one of you, we are reminded of the impact our creations have on the world. Your stories, your moments, and your appreciation remind us why we do what we do. And for that, we are incredibly grateful.

Gratitude is more than just a feeling—it’s a practice. It’s about noticing the everyday moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. The soft sunlight filtering through the window as you sit with your morning coffee, the laughter of a friend who brings you joy, the kindness of a stranger who holds the door open when your hands are full. These are the little gifts we often overlook, yet they can make all the difference.

If you’re seeking ways to incorporate more gratitude into your daily life, here are a few simple ideas:

  1. Start a Gratitude Journal: Each morning or evening, take a few moments to write down three things you’re grateful for. They don’t have to be grand or extraordinary—sometimes it’s the small moments that mean the most. By reflecting on your day in this way, you’ll begin to notice just how much there is to be thankful for.

  2. Express Your Appreciation: Don’t wait for special occasions to express your thanks. If someone has made a difference in your life, whether big or small, let them know. A quick note, a phone call, or a heartfelt message can brighten someone’s day and remind them of the positive impact they’ve had on you.

  3. Savor the Present Moment: Take time to truly appreciate the present. When you’re enjoying a meal, savor each bite. When you’re spending time with loved ones, fully engage in the moment without distractions. The more you connect with the now, the more you’ll realize how much you have to be grateful for.

Gratitude is a powerful tool. Not only does it improve our mental and emotional well-being, but it can also transform the way we view the world. It’s easy to fall into the trap of focusing on what we don’t have, but by practicing gratitude, we train ourselves to appreciate the beauty in the world, no matter how small.

So, today, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on what you’re grateful for. Whether it’s a kind gesture, a personal accomplishment, or simply the chance to begin a new day, there’s always something to be thankful for. Let’s make gratitude a part of our everyday practice, and watch how it changes the way we experience the world around us.

I am grateful for you,

Anna

As we have our morning coffee, my husband and I talk about that for which we are grateful. Of course, this community is close to the top of the list along with Anna’s leadership and that of Marie Fix and the California Beauty in the Making group.

Good Morning Anna! Thank you so much for your message on gratitude! It’s a part of my morning devotional and the last thing I do at bedtime is make a note in my gratitude journal. I am truly blessed by you and your products in helping spread that gratitude. My Anna community is such a blessing to me. Thank you all. ♥️🙏

Such a perfect message for today and everyday. I have so much I am grateful for and I don’t take any of them lightly. I am grateful for the support Anna you and your company give to creating these pocket communties all over the country. Not only does it create community but I feel it has made all of us better crafters. Being grateful is a choice and it is one I choose.
