Today's Made Easy tutorial is simply blooming with beauty! The Language of Flowers Stamps and Dies are just the thing to make gorgeous sentiments along with the corresponding flower. Floriography, or the language of flowers was popular in Victorian times, and was a way of communicating with friends, family and loved ones. Lily of the Valley conveys happiness, lilies strength, roses mean love and on and on! Today, we are going to show you how we like to make sentiments with the Language of Flowers Stamps and Dies. Get out your set and let's craft together; if you don't have them, you can get them on sale on our website this week.
Let's get crafty!
First, diecut the shadow layer for the flower of your choosing.
Place the diecut and excess paper onto your stamping platform.
Next, line the stamp up with the diecut.
Place the top of the stamping platform onto the stamp; this way it is perfectly positioned.
Choose an ink for your sentiment; we used the Robin's Egg Blue from the Perfect Palette Inks.
Place the inked stamp onto the shadow layer and press firmly.
Now you have a perfectly stamped and cut sentiment.
For the finishing touch, place your stamped sentiment in the middle of your card.
We know that you have a friend in your life who needs this sweet friendship card. There's nothing like a handmade card to show how much you care!
Add these lovely sentiments to all of your cards! They go perfectly with all of your papers, patterns and embellishments. The Language of Flowers Stamps and Dies cover all occasions!
Look how wonderful this Peace sentiment is when paired with Canton Bleu.
Taupe florals, frame dies and flowers make the prettiest card.
We are so thrilled that the language of flowers is having a resurgence! Use this beautiful, coded language as a fun addition to your paper projects. This tutorial will be live on the blog for the next week, and afterwards you can access it and more with your AG Membership! Be sure to share the projects you create with us on our social media channels!
I love this set. Having the meanings of the flowers is really nice. I appreciate learning that. Excited to use the new metallic dies with these. Thanks, Anna, for more great product.
I have never been able to cut first. The only time I get the results I need is stamp first and cut after. I will try again since I now have the positioner.
Wonderful tip on cutting first and stamping afterwards! Excellent way to get it centered correctly.
Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
