Hi everyone,
Happy Fan Mail Friday! Each week, we open our mailbox with excitement, knowing we’re about to experience the creativity, care and connection from this amazing community. Today’s submissions are a perfect mix of heartfelt sentiments and show stopping craftsmanship, and we can’t wait to share them with you!
Come see this week's fan mail!
Molly created an extraordinary card that’s part shadow box, part garden and part book nook— an absolute masterpiece! The most serendipitous part? She featured a photo of us wearing the same blouse we're wearing today! Molly’s card reminds us how small gestures, like a handmade card, can make a big difference! We love the way she incorporated the garden arch with all of the gorgeous flowers!
Janet sent a beautiful card along with a touching letter. She shared how crafting has helped lift her spirits during a difficult time and how much the friendships in this community mean to her. Janet, thank you for your honest, warmth and this beautiful collage card topper card— you inspire us.

Pam, our Florida Griffinite friend, wowed us once again with not one but two spectacular projects! First, she created an adorable autumn-themed 3D house using the Holiday Home Easel Dies, complete with pumpkins, a pull-down, floral staircase, and her two whippets, Tiki and Feather, peeking in. She even included thoughtful little toys for kitties— what a sweet touch!

Pam also crafted a stunning A7 stationery box filled with tags, cards, and a little journal, inspired by antique writing boxes. She included instructions so that all of us can make one too— what a generous gift to the community! This box will be a cherished holiday gift for her recipients and is in addition to the 200 cards she makes every month for the military. Pam, your heart and hands are incredible!
She shares how to make her box here:
A7 Stationery Box Pam Korte (https://kraftykorte.wordpress.com/) This stationery box is fashioned after stationery secretary boxes from the late 1800s. These are generic directions for you to use whatever paper and embellishments that work for whatever occasion and individual the stationery box is being made. Adapted from an idea for A2 beautiful gift box designed by Jackie Topa many years ago
- Cut two pieces of heavy cardstock 8 x 11 ½ inches. On 8-inch side score paper at 6 inches. Turn paper 90 degrees and on the 11 ½ inch side score at 2 inches and 9½ inches.
- Cut the 2 inches and 9½ inches score lines to the first intersecting score line on one of the two 8 x 11 ½ inches heavy cardstock. Adhere the corners to form an open face box.
- On the second 8 x 11 ½ inches cardstock cut the two scored squares out of the bottom of the panel.
- Adhere the two 8½x 11 inches together on the long side scored panel to the front of the box as a flip down front.
- Cut a piece of heavy cardstock 5 ½ x 10 inches. Score both short sides and one of the long sides at 1 ¼ inches. Cut the corner squares out and apply glue to the scored sections.
- Attach this piece to the box base to form a holder for the cards.
- Score one piece of heavy cardstock 6 x 3 inches and one piece of heavy cardstock 5 ½ inches x 3 inches at ½ inch and 1 inch from each long side end.
- Apply glue along the score lines of the outer sections of the 6 x 3 inches and 5 ½ x 3 inches and to one inner section.
- Attach the pockets to the front of the card holder in the box base to hold tags and bookmarks.
- Cut a piece of heavy cardstock 1 ¾ x 7 inches to form a pocket in the flip down front of the box. Apply glue to one long side and two sides and adhere to the bottom of the front flip down box panel.
- Cut a piece of heavy cardstock 5 x 8 inches and score at 4 inches on the long side to form a booklet cover. Cut several pieces of copy paper at 4 ½ x 7 ½ inches for the pages in the booklet. Fold the pages in half, insert in booklet cover and staple the center into place. Place the booklet in the pocket.
- Cut a piece of 11 5/8 x 6 1/8 inches heavy cardstock and score at 2 inches on all four sides.
- Cut the vertical score lines up to the horizontal score lines and trim the corners.
- Fold the ends up forming the lid and glue in place.
The Box Box Dies create the perfect bow for the front of the stationery box.
