Hi everyone,
Happy Fan Mail Friday, our favorite day of the week. This week is short and sweet, but filled with the most incredible stories. This tradition has been going strong for nearly a decade, and it truly is one of the best things that happens here. We would love for you to share in the comments what you love most about Fan Mail Friday and how you would like to see it grow as we continue building this amazing experience together!
Watch the video:
Julie sent a gorgeous bordered Phoebe card and recommended the book The Correspondent by Virginia Evans, a story told through letters that celebrates the importance of written correspondence. She also shared her gratitude for being part of the Beautiful in the Making Circle and our 30 Days of Gratitude during Create, reminding us how meaningful those shared experiences truly are.

Sheila from Indiana sent a heartfelt letter and a beautiful pink card with double bow for us and one for the team before joining us live on AGTV for Shop Spring. She bravely shared how crafting has been her constant through unimaginable life changes, and how creating with her granddaughter has turned her safe place into a priceless bond across generations.

Sheila’s Jasmine fan card for the team was filled with warmth and gratitude, and her words are going straight onto the bulletin board because they remind us why we do what we do. Joan’s layered cards and creative projects show what happens when you shop your own craft room and rediscover treasures you already have, turning supplies into meaningful, joy-filled creations.
Joan from New York sent her very first Fan Mail Friday submission filled with original cards, layers, papers, and dies she rediscovered in her craft room. She shared her journey as a first-time Create attendee, how she found her confidence by day three, and how she is now stepping into courage, signing up for future events and even using her cookie box dies to create 20 Christmas boxes for her upcoming honey harvest as a new beekeeper.

As we head into National Craft Month in March, we are celebrating creativity and community every single day. There will be inspiration on social media, on the blog, and in our events. If you have been thinking about joining Create in May, this is your invitation to step into grace, courage, and love right alongside us. I look forward to FMF each & every week to see the beautiful creations & hear the lovely letters sent in by other Griffinites to inspire by creations ever since you started it. Even though I’ve been with you since your first appearance on QVC some decades ago I learn so much more each week by watching FMF – it’s new & exciting each week so as they say “IF IT ISN’T BROKEN, WHY FIX IT”, Anna, you & your team bring so much inspiration to us each & every day & I thank you for that.
I know I haven’t sent anything in in the past 25 months (but do constantly buy) but so many things have changed in my life & I just keep busy making cards for so so many others You have given me a reason to want to continue on every day no matter how painful of a day it is. Love to all of you.\
Have watched Fan Mail Friday since its inception… really enjoy. Have not sent in a card in a few years but enjoy all who do. Keep us informed about all our Griffinite sisters. See you at Create spring… wish we could all be in person again.
As a devoted viewer of Fan Mail Friday for the past decade, it’s a crafting highlight of my week. I’m constantly inspired by the incredible creativity and talent of the Griffinite community. Seeing all the amazing cards and papercraft projects makes me want to keep improving my own skills.
I particularly enjoy your insightful and encouraging comments about each card. Getting your ‘stamp of approval’ means a lot to us, and it’s so inspiring to see how others interpret and use your wonderful products.
I love the current format, but I’ve also been thinking about how FMF could grow: One thought is to introduce a monthly ‘Fan Mail Challenge’! Maybe one month could be centered around a specific color palette (think pink and purple!), while another could focus on a theme like ‘Celebration’. It would be important to still encourage all types of submissions, but adding a little creative nudge could be really fun!
I also realize the cost of sending gorgeous, dimension-heavy cards can be a barrier. But, what if you did a ‘Flat Card Friday’ challenge sometimes? Encourage people to show off their creativity without the added weight and cost. This could open up FMF to even more participants who might be hesitant about sending bulky projects through the mail.
These are just a couple of ideas, and I’m sure other Griffinites have many more! I look forward to seeing what the future holds for FMF. Thank you and your team for all that you do to inspire and encourage us."
“Here’s to another ten years of FMF! (and more!)
Anna, I like FMF because it’s not just about the products (which are wonderful), but more about the people. There are stories from the people who are out there creating, along with the personal stories and and memories from you. Always a joy to hear!
I love FMF, it starts my weekend off with great ideas & sweet thoughts from our Griffinite community !
