Beautiful in the Making Circle: Crafting Retreat

Hi crafters,

There's nothing quite like gathering in person with kindred spirits who love beautiful paper, thoughtful details and meaningful connection! Earlier this month, 32 crafters, 2 sets of sisters and 4 very supportive husbands came together in Paso Robles, California for an incredible Beautiful in the Making Circle retreat.

It was a weekend filled with the kind of creativity and laughter that only happens when Griffinites gather; it was a weekend to remember!

Friday was their official meet-up day. Supplies were unpacked, tables were claimed and the room quickly transformed into a sea of dies, foil and fabulous projects.

Saturday was Wear Pink Day (love)! Pink sweaters, pink accessories and pink projects were everywhere. They were so grateful to spend time chatting with us via Zoom, sharing what they were working on and connecting. It's what makes this community so unique!

The theme for Sunday was Wear Pajamas Day, a the cozy and creative finale. They crafted until the very last minute, savoring every project and conversation before packing up.

One of the highlights of the weekend was learning from each other. There were incredible live demonstrations from the Beautiful in the Making Circle. Araceli shared a demo on using toner foil, and she showed how to add stunning metallic details. Claudia demonstrated how bring interactive projects to life by adding lights to pulley cards. Bobbi taught everyone how to create custom sentiments.

This is what makes the Beautiful in the Making Circle so special. Everyone brought their talents to the table and shared generously!

Michelle Compton did an extraordinary job organizing the entire event and securing such a lovely location for their weekend of crafting and connection. From fun shared meals to thoughtful Secret Sister gifts, every detail was beautifully planned.

What makes this group so remarkable isn’t just the projects, it’s the friendships. We love to see sisters crafting side by side, longtime friends reconnecting and new friendships forming.

The Beautiful in the Making Circle is exactly what its name promises: beautiful things created and beautiful relationships strengthened!

For this week's Fan Man Friday we received such a happy surprise! At their event, the attendees each created a gorgeous card and sent it inside of a magnificent bird house. It's all so beautiful, thoughtful and special that we had to share it with everyone! In an accompanying letter Marie said, "Each of these notes to you joins us together as a bird has many feathers, but ultimately it makes only one beautiful bird. May these take flight and land on your heart as they were meant to."

We are so grateful for this incredible California Griffinite community. Thank you for sharing your creativity and the behind the scenes of your event. We cannot wait to see what you make next, and we hope more groups continue to gather, create and celebrate together!
