3D Braided Concentric Dies- Made Easy

Hi Crafters,

Welcome back to Charm School Made Easy. This week we are creating the most elegant layered birthday card with the beautiful 3D Braided Concentric Dies. Oh my goodness, the detail is stunning. So pretty!

The 3D Braided Concentric Dies create a braided, woven look that is engraved, embossed and diecut all at one time. What’s great is that they are concentric layers designed to build from the bottom up, but you can use each die separately too. You can create gorgeous stationery, sentiment tags, layered cards and more!

Today we’re pairing them with Luxury Matte Foil Cardstock in Green and papers from the Antique Botanical collection for a rich, dimensional design. It’s always fun to mix foil, pattern and texture together.

Nest the 3 intricate dies as shown on a piece of Luxury Matte Foil Cardstock in Green.

Run it through your diecutting machine. For extra embossing, pass it through once in one direction and then again in the opposite direction. Watch that incredible detail appear.

Cut an ivory shadow layer.

Cut an Antique Botanical cardstock layer using the inner shadow die.

Add the ivory shadow layer to your Antique Botanical card base. This creates a beautiful frame and foundation.

Place the largest 3D Braided Concentric diecut on top. Inlay the smaller Antique Botanical shadow layer inside the frame. Keep it nice and flat for a seamless look.

Add the second 3D Braided Concentric diecut with foam adhesive. Build that gorgeous dimension!

Use one of the collage card toppers from your craft room and place it in the center of your card. Ours is from the Birthday Greetings Card Making Kit, and it works perfectly here.

Cover the middle of the topper with the smallest 3D Braided Concentric die. This is a great trick for refreshing older toppers. Now you have a brand new focal point.

Add a Happy Birthday sentiment and finish with a floral embellishment for that final elegant touch.
