I am 70 with 11 grandkids so I have plenty of opportunities to make cards.  I love all of Anna’s card making and scrapbooking projects and I am always on the lookout for others in the Tampa Bay Area that I could crop with. I know how great these Create weekends are and I thought it would be nice to share them with others.”

Tina is not able to purchase a Create ticket due to financial difficulties resulting from brain surgery earlier this year. For the last 30 years, I’ve watched my friend live with pain with the utmost courage, strength, and grace. Being able to create has been a godsend to her.   • #Win-it-Wednesday – First, Beth, thank you for your generosity. I wish we were a little closer so that we could craft together. I love seeing all the wonderful creations that everyone makes. I also live in Florida on the Gulf Coast and right now my house is a disaster zone with ceilings falling down, from all the damage during Hurricane Ian. We have no power, no phones, no internet. I’m fortunate to be staying in Tampa for a few days and trying to catch up on work and emails, and of course Anna updates. I’m hoping that the house is in “craftable” shape within the next 3+ months.

Unfortunately, I have spent the last year beating cancer and due to the never ending medical bills, it is just not “in the cards” for me this year. If I won, I would pay it forward by creating and sending cards to others enduring cancer to give them hope and encouragement.

My nephew lost everything in the hurricane on Ft Myers Beach including his car and I made a donation to his Go Fund Me. That was part of my ticket money.   • I kinda “overlooked” the Explosion Box Dies when they were debuted because they looked so time intensive and complicated. However after watching your AGTV LIVE presentation, I fell in love with the die set, and after watching Anna make it so easy and do-able, I knew I wanted to tackle this challenge. I also love the additional house boxes that require this die set and the gingerbread houses!! The AGTV LIVE presentation even inspired me to join Finishing School for the next 12 months! Woot! Woot!

  • Hello again Anna. I would like a chance to thank Beth for her generousity. I have thrown my name into the pot for the last two chances of winning a Create 8 ticket. The first one I thought I wasn’t deserving but on reflection, I honestly think I am deserving of such a special gift.

    Beth, my husband has been a huge Anna fan right along with me. He was diagnosed with cancer at the end of last November. Well there went Christmas. We were all too terrified to even think of celebrating. Well, we did see that my husband got presents and he got them for his birthday and Father’s Day too. I don’t think he even noticed he was the only one getting presents.

    He finished with Chemo with a smile even if he was bald. He could only take three doses instead of four, his body couldn’t handle it even if he still tried to keep an upbeat attitude. We all worked very hard to keep that upbeat attitude with him. The doctors were amazed how he seemed at least on the outside to be doing so well and I think that is becasue we worked to help him and he never just sat down. He kept going even if one of my sons was by his side all the time.

    So far he is 7 to 8 weeks out from the surgery he finally got after all this time and things look great. Now we have the bills to deal with. We started tightening our belts when we heard the word cancer and seeing the bills has him more depressed than he was when he was terrified. The thing is, I think he would be thrilled to see me participte in Create 8 and there is no way I would ever even think of asking him if we could afford it right now, we just can’t.

    He is so much of an Anna fan that I know he would be stoked if I were to sit there and attend the classes. He loves to watch me craft and he gets into helping me especially at Christmas. He has gotten good at making diecuts on the Empress. He is already telling me we need to get startedmaking Christmas cards and he is ready to run the Empress for me. He said that today and it just made me smile.

    So if you don’t pick me I understand. I have my husband and that is the most precious gift. 43 years of marriage just isn’t long enough. I know the decision has to be hard so if you choose someone else, I will be thrilled for them. I hope you enjoy Create 8 as I hope everyone that is getting to particiapte do. Thank you so much for helping someone have that experience with you.

    Anna, thank you for having Win-it-Wednesday that gives us all a chance to win some of your wonderful products. My craft area looks like an Anna Griffin shop exploded. That’s how much my husband has been behind me for so many years. Learning from you is a huge gift as well. I have learned so much and the more I learn, the better I am at making beautiful cards for my family and friends. If anyone has the money and are on the bench about joining Create 8, jump off the bench and join in on and the experince of a lifetime.   • Hi All, I would love to attend Create 8. It is held on my Birthday. I was so lucky to attend the last two and this year due to financial issues I can’t attend. Like so many others my landlord raised the rent $350 more per month. This has wreaked havoc on my already tight budget. I am staff at a University so the pay is low, but the work is fulfilling, student engagement and underrepresented recruitment. The 1st Craft at Home during Covid lockdown pull me out of depression.
    I love the community and meeting all the other Anna superfans. Crafting before I go to sleep helps me relax and let go, my art therapy. I would love to celebrate my 61st birthday with all my Griffinite family. I would be so grateful if I am chosen. One day, my fortunes will change and I can’t wait to be the person giving to another Anna follower.

I worked with Veterans for over 35 years and I know how appreciative they are when they receive a gift as a “Thank You”, for their services to our nation. I try to ensure I send them greeting cards on Veterans Day , so to send a gift box with a surprise would be extra special!

    But I would love to CREATE 8 with my daughter, Lynette, who is a special education teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing. She has had a very hard couple + years. In June of 2020 she tore ligaments in her right ankle. She suffered through until surgery in January 2021, and was in therapy until November when she had to cease because she had a upper respiratory issue and woke up one morning deaf in her right ear. She has struggled since then with balance issues as well as the issues the deafness has caused. Plus she still has constant nerve pain in her ankle. But my daughter is a very courageous lady, she has continued to work through most the time. She has been Unable to drive for the whole time, so as my husband and I are retired, he would take her to school and I would pick her up depending on my son in law’s schedule. We are lucky we’ve been able to help them. So I would love to nominate her for CREATE 8 so we can have a weekend to forget the problems and create with you for 3 days. Thank you Anna. Love you💕💕🌸

  • Okay, I finally have my craft shed!! 3 years in saving, scrimping and planning. Its not done yet, but close. Getting ready to paint inside Could not ave done it without devoted work of my husband. Finally able to spread out and not operate off of a TV tray. Winning a Create 8 would be the topper of this long struggle. A dream come true.

I have followed Anna for many years and have been a scrapbooker and card maker. I have quite a few of her dies and card kits. My family and friends always look forward to receiving the cards I create. It would be so enjoyable to spend a whole weekend creating with all of Anna’s beautiful papers and supplies with fellow crafters.

    I have never won anything so to win this is a dream. I have had a rough 18 months
    with broken bones and surgeries. My grandson lives with me and was hit by a drunken driver, who totaled his car, causing him to need surgeries and Physical therapy. My sweet loving adopted dog Destiny, never left my side while I was crippled,got cancer and I had to put her to sleep. This devastated me!
    I need to get back to my crafting, but Social Security cannot stretch very far. I am still paying off Create 7. Finishing school is wonderful, but the companionship of Create is a blessing.

  • These are beautiful dies that were in the Create 7 which Anna so generously gifted to me. It was an amazing three days. It is so sweet to see others stepping up and gifting Create 8 to others.   • I give birthday cards to my coworker nurses. Even though they feel the card is a gift, I try to place a little something in the card. Sometimes it’s difficult to fit a sweet treat or other gift in the card and close the envelope properly.     I would love too be chosen for your create 8, the way you combine colors and fold paper just blows my mind. I don’t go to crops because of they money they cost. My husband is retired and I work driving a school which as you know they don’t make at all. If only people knew how we get treated.   • I love the precious friendships that I have made during previous Creates and was fortunate to meet virtual friends recently, in person! What a amazing and special time that was. I love learning new techniques and using all the amazing products that are included as part of each class. My trip to meet many of the friendsI have met as a result of participating in Create was my big expenditure for this year.   • I would so love to do Create 8 to learn more of Anna’s amazing techniques and ideas for scrapbooking and card making. My daughter, who is 30 recently took an interest in what I do for crafting and I have been teaching her some things I learned years ago. I would love to learn some fresh, fun techniques to show some of them to my daughter. I am hoping she will have the same love of crafting that i have had for many years. I have been an Anna Griffin fan and customer since the 1990’s and have loved everything I have ever gotten from Anna. I actually still have a few things (mostly beautiful papers) that are from back in the 1990’s that were so beautiful I didn’t use them I was afraid I would ruin them back then when I was just starting out.   • I received a small inheritance last year (sadly, my mother passed away) and I treated myself to Create 7. I have always wanted to take part. It was so exciting, starting when the giant box appeared on my porch. I can’t do it this year, but I will always treasure last year. It was a hard year, and I have many due to heart problems and RA. It always seems like something special comes along on those bad times to get me through them. So, I am wishing you all something special to add joy to your lives!

The slimline Christmas would make something new for me this year and work with my other AG Christmas and non Christmas Dies sets and embellishments and fit the annual Christmas letter easily.   • Both of these dies sets are on my Wish List! Several years ago I made a hand measured plain Jane on the outside explosion box for my now departed Mom. It was destroyed when a tree fell through her roof during a big rain storm. I do have photos of a few pages for sweet memories. Between Christmas & New Years of that same year I made 4 more boxes commemorating Christmas Eve with my hubby’s side of the family. Dies would make the process so much easier than hand measuring and with the dies, the boxes are as decorative on the outside as they are on the inside. I have so many ideas going through my brain.

  • I have dreamt of going to Create since I first heard of it occuring. However, my old job was freelancing doing Special Events in Manhattan, and I could never count on being available to participate. Well, fast forward to the pandemic, and I no longer have that job, nor live in the city I used to worked, nor my NYC apartment. I moved out of state to take care of my 103 yr old Mother. She is spry still, thank Goodness, and has good genes since her sister was 108. That being said though, I don’t get to leave the house much since I worry. So I’m housebound. BUT, I still craft and love to make cards for the Sr. Living community up the street from us. Caretaking has given me a new outlook on our elderly, and cards, though a small gesture, bring so much joy. I have so many of Anna’s products and am surprised how much I am still drawn to them. I could benefit from some guidance and would love to have a connection to other crafters since this new life is very different from what I had known before, and whenever I read Anna’s blog, I feel a sense of belonging. Everyone is so nice! So, congratulations to the lucky winners and thank you Anna and Beth.

Everything is wonderful and some of my favorites would be the screen dies and class, the new holiday ornaments dies, the beautiful edger dies and the new book dies and class.   • I love both of these die sets! I just made an exploding card by hand…the dies would be awesome. I can’t tell you what it would mean to me to win the Create 8 giveaway. I have had some terrible things happen to me recently…and it has been all I can do to make myself get out of the bed. The time I spend crafting is such a wonderful escape from my present reality. I will never be able to afford to attend an event like this, but always enjoy seeing all of the wonderful things that are made. I am excited for everyone who is able to go.

  • I am looking forward to all the create 8 events. With 23 grandkids, I am always making cards and gifts. I just flew from Seattle to Pennsylvania to visit 7 of them. A red eye flight so it was exhausting but so worth it to see them all. As soon as I walked in the door they were making plans for crafting with grandma which includes lots of Anna projects.   • I would love to get a Create 8 give-a-way. I would like to see the new products being offered and how they are put together. I would also love the interaction with the other crafters in the classroom. I am currently making cards for my church. These cards are being sent to individuals that are unable to make it to church due to illness or loss. We want them to know we are thinking of them and wishing them health and/or comfort. Always looking for new ways to enhance the cards, because some of these are sent out to the same person on a regular basis and don’t want them to receive the same card each time. I wanted my sister to go in with me on the cost of the class so we could share the experience together, but she was unable to do that and I can’t afford to do this myself.   • I would like for a 80 year old friend Barbara to win Create 8 event. She loves scrapbooking and making cards. She recently had to sell her home and rent because her income was not enough to pay her expenses. She was a special education teacher in California and her pension is not enough to cover her monthly expenses. She does not qualify for Social Security because of the rules of that state. Selecting her for this generous gift would be very uplifting during these crazy financial times. She is a very active for her age. I already registered and told her about it. She wishes she could afford it.

  • I loved the projects from Create 7. I would love to win the dies to pay it forward to a young woman who came to my house last year and we made explosion boxes with photos of her children for her Mother and Mother-in-law for Christmas. They love them.

    Should I win the Create 8 ticket, I would gift it to my granddaughter so that she can craft with me during Create 8. She is a Senior in high school and is a very creative and artisitc young person. She loves to work with me in my craft room.

    I’m in the process of getting ready to move and I’m not certain what technology services are going to be available to the rural area I will be living in. I have to wait to find out but I’m praying I’ll still be able to get HSN for their craft days so I will be able to shop AG be it on TV, computer, or cell phone. I’ll be able to watch on Oct 4 HSN but after that I’ll have to see I may be just watching the beef cattle and horses in the pasture lol.

  • Attending Create 8 would be a dream come true. My friends and I get together every Tuesday evening to make cards. It’s the highlight of my week. It would be wonderful to have new and exciting ways to use the Anna Griffin materials we have and learn ideas for the new materials coming out. Although we use cards for family and friends, we send most of them to Cards for Kindness. It makes us feel useful at an age when opportunities begin to dwindle.
    A die set would also be wonderful. We do not have a ‘box’ die set yet.

  • Congrats winners! Would love dies you are giving away today. Watched the last live event but for some reason I wasn’t able to comment. Kept freezing on me. But will try again this Friday! Create 8! Now that is something I can only dream about! Not in my budget. I would love to win so I could craft with others! I don’t have anyone in my life that shares my passion or cares to.

    My paper crafting buddy was my younger sister who unfortunately passed away with breast cancer over 10 yrs ago. I am 66 years young now and still love my paper, dies, and the creative process.   • I would dearly love to attend Create 8. Not to put a damper on things, but for the last three months I have been in a s vere and deep depression and reeling from being blindsided by the unexpected ending of my 41-year marriage (43.5-year relationship). Never having dealt with depression before, it took me a while to put a label on it. The only things that make me even think about dragging myself out of bed are my card making/paper crafts. To have three whole days where I would be able to escape my current reality and dive into learning new techniques and making beautiful things would bring me joy beyond describing and be such a very welcome diversion. I really wanted to sign up in my own to go, but the cost simply isn’t in my budget right now as I am getting used to the obligations of being a single me. So winning this wonderful gift would be….well, more than I come up with the words to describe. Regardless of who gets it, though, bless you Beth for your amazing kindness!
