Every week in March, we will be highlighting a product called our Weekly Craft Wonder! It is super sale priced and has free shipping! We are kicking off National Craft Month with our Floral Double Sided Card Stock.
Guess what? Tutorial Tuesday is all about our Weekly Craft Wonder https://annagriffin.com/product/floral-cardstock-bundle/, and the incredible things that you can do with it. We have great tips and tricks to share with you. Let’s take a look.
It’s a piece of cake to take a 12 x 12 piece of card stock and turn it into 2 greeting cards! Get out your self healing mat, craft knife, ruler, pencil and Tool n One with the smallest scoring nib to create these cards. For the A7 card, mark at 10 inches wide and 7 inches tall, score in the middle and fold. For the A2 card measure 8.5 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall, score in the middle and fold.
To get 4, 5×7 layers from a 12”x 12”: Measure 5” in from the left side of the cardstock, make a faint vertical line from the top to the bottom of the paper. Repeat with the right side of the paper. Rotate the paper 90 degrees and repeat this process. Trim the 4, 5”x 7” pieces from the 12” cardstock and erase the faint lines from each piece of cardstock.
For the Explosion Card Fold: Start with a 10”x 10” square. Fold diagonally one way, then the other making an “X”. Then fold down the center. Fold into a triangle shape and then fold 2” in from each tab on the base of the triangle. Unfold the tabs and tuck in.
A more precise way is to use a scoring tool, mat, and ruler to make score marks first, then fold. You can use a bone folder to flatten your folds. First, make two perpendicular score marks diagonally across the cardstock, forming an “X”. Then make one score mark down the center at the 5” mark. Fold to form a triangle. Make four more score marks 2” in from the edges.
For the explosion card outside: Start with a 10”x 7” piece of cardstock. Score down the center, at 5” and fold.
To make an envelope from a 12”x 12”: Mark the center of the piece of paper 6” in from each side. With the paper on the diagonal, fold the right and left corners in to the center mark. Reinforce the fold with a bone folder. Fold the bottom corner up to the bottom of you card to form the envelope. Align the bottom tip with the top of the folds you have made on the left and right side of the paper. Tuck the corner under and reinforce the fold with a bone folder.
Here are some examples and beautiful projects that you can make with our Floral Card Stock Bundle https://annagriffin.com/product/floral-cardstock-bundle. It’s perfect for folding, die cutting and showing all sides of your projects.
Happy Weekly Craft Wonder and we will see you next Tuesday for another Tutorial Tuesday!
