November 17, 2015 • Anna Griffin
It is only fitting that I dedicate this Tuesdays’ blog post to the first ever Anna Griffin | Create weekend craft event we held here in Atlanta, Georgia November 13th-15th, 2015. It was a weekend of a lifetime for us all! Oh my goodness…we simply could not have had more fun! We loved meeting each and every person that participated and wish you were still here!
To those who attended and those who could not be with us, there are truly no words to thank you for supporting the Anna Griffin brand the way that you do. It was so evident this weekend that crafting has the power to unite people from all across the world, and we are honored to be a part of that.
Below are photos of the event that commemorate the joy, the magic and the abundance experienced by all who came to play!
Friday afternoon kicked off with registration, where everyone received an Anna Griffin tote full of fabulous “swag,” and a cocktail reception. We decorated our name tags, created photo albums, made ornaments and played in the paper flower photo booth!
Next we headed into a gorgeous seated dinner that was decked out in giant pink flowers made from the Cricut Giant Flowers Cartridge. I welcomed guests from 40 states and 3 countries. Every person had a story to tell and many overcame obstacles to be with us. It was truly special. Our special guest speaker Shivan Sarna, host on HSN and all around inspiring person spoke about empowerment and sharing your talent with others. I also introduced our amazing team of teachers and staff.
After dinner we opened up a ball room transformed into the worlds greatest Anna Griffin Craft Room. It was filled with all of our tools, 25,000 sheets of paper, 3,000 Anna Griffin kits, gold Cricut machines, Cuttlebugs, and 12 gallery walls of more than 500 inspirational projects!
On Saturday guests learned tips and techniques in classes from myself, Sandi Genovese, Beth Kingston, Cara Miller and Kay Mitchell. Then we played in the craft room all night- Georgie even came by for a quick visit!
The grand finale for the weekend was a tour of the Anna Griffin headquarters and a sale in our warehouse!
What I am most present to today is the overwhelming generosity of the human spirit. Before Create, I knew that people liked what we do, but it took Create for me to fully experience the impact my products and I have had on peoples lives. So, with that being said, I end with the picture that describes my personal experience of the event the best. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
