Square Box Card Dies – Made Easy

Hello crafters,

Today we are showing  you how to use the Square Box Card Dies to create amazing cards for you to send to your friends and family. You can create your own box cards by measuring and scoring, but you know we love to engineer die sets that take the guess work out of paper crafting. This unique die set is no exception! Choose your favorite papers and get your Square Box Card Dies ready. If you don’t have these dies, you can get them on sale on our website this week.

Come make this card with us!

First, we used the Square Box Card Dies to cut out our box using the Thankfulness Cardstock for our card.

Fold all of your score lines to start to form your box.

We also added another pattern from the Thankfulness Cardstock inside our box.

Add tear tape and roll the scored sides to form your box.

Once you have your side, press down to adhere. For extra strength, place something inside the “tube” and press down. Repeat on all sides, making sure that the tabs are tucked in.

We used an easel from the Flower Cart 3D Easel Dies to form our hinge.

Adhere the easel to a square piece of cardstock.

Tear tape goes on the top tab.

Place your box on top of the tab to create your easel card.

Use the decorative frame included with the Square Box Card Dies to cut and add an interior frame inside your box.

Flowers from the Thankfulness Papercrafting Kit highlight opposite corners.

We used the China Cabinet Embossing Folder with Dies to decorate all 4 corners.

We created a stopper with one of the dies from the Flower Cart 3D Easel Dies.

Now, this box easel card can stand at attention and greet its’ recipient.

There are different ways to create cards with the Square Box Card Dies.

You can make book-like cards that open to reveal a cute kitty!

Use an inlay technique to liven up your layers.

The Square Box Card Dies are perfect for creating birthday cards.

Combine various paper patterns to make a gorgeous card. Flowers and flourishes complete the look.

Add your box to the front of your card for an extra special card.

    • Sara, I work for Michaels Craft Store in the card making and envelope area, there are little boxes in 3 sizes I used one for the 5×7 BOX DIE worked great, of course extra postage.

  • I love this die set. It will be perfect for making Christmas ornaments. Before folding the top of the box you could punch one or two holes and string a ribbon through it to hang on the tree. What Grandparent would not want a photo of her Grandchildren to hang on the tree?
