Simply Friendship Card Making Kit- Made Easy

Hello Griffinites,

Did you know that today is the National Day of Encouragement? What a great reason to reach out to someone in your life and offer up a kind word! Today, we are going to show you a great way to elevate a card from one of our all inclusive kits, the Simply Friendship Card Making Kit. We love how easy this folio makes it to create 12 incredible cards that celebrate friendship. Let’s make a card together!

To add a little extra dimension to your card, take 2 of the layers and create frames.

We left 1/2″inch on the cream layer with green flowers and 3/4″ inch on the purple floral layer.

Use your craft knife or scissors to cut.

Now you have 2 great frames that will create a look into your card.

Add the purple frame to your card base with foam adhesive.

Add your second (green) frame with foam adhesive.

It’s time to decorate. We have coordinating stickers and embellishments in each simply kit. You can’t go wrong with the mix and match design!

Start your collage in the bottom left of the card.

Keep building using an assortment of flowers and a sentiment. It’s time to send your card! The envelopes are in the folio for easy mailing.

    Anna, I’d like to see fall themed colored papers, layers and florals in beautiful deep oranges, rusts, golds and olives. Embellishments could include fall mums, acorns, mushrooms and more of a woodland feel.

  • Ahhh, that was nice. I had a rough day and this card tutorial was soothing for my soul. What an easy trick to make those frames, yet I haven’t used that before; I will add that on my next card. Thanks for the idea! I think these kits are great to take on a vacation, and I love the idea of sharing with a friend who may be new to crafting. Just Simply Wonderful 😊

  • Beautiful and easy in the making!! For those who have your frame dies from Crop@Home1 or 3 you could use those nesting dies on the inside of those layers. I know Anna’s superpower is using the craft knife, but me I still have difficulty using the craft knife.

    I love these tutorials. Always wonderful to watch.

  • Please do a tutorial on the coffin die. The dire tions are clear bot with all the rolling on the scored lines with your heavy cardstock I am having a difficult time making the corners miter. Love the die!!

  • Thank you, Anna, for this tutorial! I’ll use your ideas and methods with other card-making kits. This Simply Friendship Kit is WONDERFUL!! I enjoyed this kit the most of all “Simply” kits, especially color palette and ease of combining ephemera. Perhaps you’ll offer seasonal “Simply” kits, such as Happy Thanksgiving?

  • I love these card kits. I broke both my arms and have it’s really difficult to make cards from scratch. All my Simply Cards have turned out so beautiful. I just wish I could tie a bow! 😉
