Luxury Icon Purse Dies- Made Easy

Hello Griffinites,

Tuesdays are for crafting and today we are going to make an amazing purse with the Luxury Icon Purse Dies. These wonderful dies give you two bag options; one is a fold-able purse and the other is a 3D purse with gusseted sides. We love using these beautiful purses, and they are great for birthdays, to say hello, to house a gift card and even as a party favor. We used several different items to make today’s gorgeous project that we will list below. If you are a fan of pretty purses, then you will love making this project with us today! If you don’t have the Luxury Icon Purse Dies, then you can get them on sale on our website this week!

Come craft with us!

First, nest the purse and purse shadow layer onto 2 sheets from the Animal Print Cardstock.

Run this through twice to ensure cutting. You can cut 2 at a time because of the intricate leather pattern on the cardstock.

Next, use 2 pieces of double-sided brown cardstock from the Foliage and Leaf Cardstock to create the 2 pieces of the purse and the hinge needed to connect them.

From another piece of leather cardstock, cut the purse belt, handles, tag and decorative portion of the purse.

Use tear tape on the hinge to attach the 2 sides together.

Now your purse structure is formed.

Use foam adhesive to add the decorative layers to the front and back of the purse.

Flower of life coasters and a piece of paper.

Add the decorative portions to the top front and back of the purse. We added small, gold details for an additional pop of color.

Voila! Your leather purse is ready to decorate!

We created collages to add to the purse using the Birthday Box Signature Cards, Favorite Flowers 3D Stickers and the Super Sentiment Stickers.

  • Such lovely samples of ways to male the ;little purses. I bought the dies with
    my young granddaughters in mind, and I’m sure they will love them. I will
    use the gusset to put some little treats inside, and they can play with the cards
    until they tear, if their mothers will allow it. 🙂 Perhaps they can be reinforced with chipboard.. Love all of Anna’s things.

    I forget the Wednesday sessions because of the time difference, but am going to have
    to set a reminder to sign on! Marie

    • If you find any please, please let me know. I have all the ones made so far & think friends are getting a little tired of having same embellishments, etc., I keep a tablet with what I’ve used for who to try not to duplicate myself but I’m pretty much out of things to use for husband, sons & grandsons.

  • I love these purses. They are so cute!!! I made a purse out of the papers I had & thought it was great. I was looking on line for ideas for something else to do & found one almost exactly except for the bling. I don’t have this purse. I have one really old & the 1st of this AS. I Don’t have the other 3 are 🙁 Anna & her team always inspires us with her products!!!

  • I was FINALLY able to eek out a few hours to get some of my Christmas cards made. This last couple months have been CRAZY busy. So glad for my Anna Griffin cards boxes. Still waiting for my purse dies. Love the inspiration pictures. I’m excited to try those out too. My Granddaughter will love the purse card for her birthday in a couple weeks.   • Such a cute idea, these would make great party favors for a Sweet 16 party. You could put in mascara, lipstick, eyeliner… all kinds of makeup.

    And for the crafter… all kinds of embellishments would fit inside the purse. Even small dies.

  • The pattern on this purse die is my favorite!
    The Purse designs have so many uses for Church or Celebration Events used in 3D form.
    I have often thought it would be lovely as a table decoration for the Nutcracker’s Event my Granddaughters attend and participate in. It would be too cute to have a purse and enclose the characters from the Nutcracker along with other items inside the purse. Imagine a child finding a ballerina, a soldier , The Mouse King or any of the Characters. The one we attend in an area outside Atlanta always has the most beautiful table decorations and items the children can take home. It’s always beautifully decorated and we watch the Ballerinas and Dancers perform The Nutcracker .

I am very mad at myself because I missed you with Adam last night because I fell asleep!!!! Darn! And on my tv setup I cannot record HSN. Oh well, my own fault! Boo!
