Hello crafters,

May is an important month for crafting and we are adding to all of the fun with a Craft Day on HSN May 9th! Mark your calendars for 1am, 12pm, 3pm, 8pm for full hour shows of  Anna Griffin Elegant Papercrafting. We will be in full swing with incredible items for Father’s Day, scrapbooking and so much more. Let’s get into today’s preview.

First, we design special products for you to craft incredible cards for the important men in your life. We are excited to bring you the Simply Father’s Day Card Making Kit.   • Oh my goodness Anna! I just caught this video. My Dad loved his classic cars too! He was meticulous to restore the to original factory parts and colors.     All of your kits and etc for Father’s Day are wonderful. It’s hard to choose but the 2 things that really caught my eye was Carte Homme Finishing School kit and The Classic Car Die.
    The Carte Homme kit will be great for my husband and my 2 adult sons. We had 2 major expenses (pipes burst in the house and huge truck repairs) last year and I wasn’t able to get it then. BTW…I was looking for a “small” bow tie earlier this year for a tuxedo favor box I made earlier this year.
    My (favorite) Uncle Albert passed away within the past couple of weeks and when I saw the Classic Car die, I instantly thought of him. Uncle Albert and my cousin love(d) classic/vintage cars and so one of the first cards I plan on making will be to my cousin to let him know that we’re thinking about him during this time.

  • Ok the Classic Car is just too stinkin’ cute!!!! It reminds me of my father. My father was a car buff and even taught auto mechanics back in the 1960s at a Southern California high school. I bought my father his last dream car, a brand new a convertible Mustang as a Christmas present. He babied that car until he was not able to drive anymore. He passed away in 2017. I definitely would need to add this die to my collection of Anna Griffin dies for greeting cards for guys and maybe for women who are car buffs!

Quality products to create cards for men are difficult to find, but I think you guys have outdone yourselves on this one!! Some amazing things ore coming to create for “him” and I am super excited to get my hands on them. I love that all of these products make it easy to create a Men’s Cards, which are a true challenge for many of us.   • When I received the email on Monday announcing the product preview celebrating Father’s Day, I was a little skeptical I would find anything I could use. My father passed away in 2021 and I don’t have any children, and neither does my boyfriend. But being a true fan, I had to check out the products anyway. I was amazed at some of the new items! Anna, you’ve outdone yourself! My mindset went from, “I won’t find anything” to “I have to have all the new items”! My very favorite of all was the Antique Car Die. I can think of several people who would go crazy over that card! My second favorite item was the Handsome Icon Cut & Emboss Folder. Those designs would be great embellishments on so many men’s cards!     2nd, I love the antique train easel die. My dad got us an original Lionel Train set that we set up each year before Christmas. Each of us kids (4) would take turns running the engine full speed to see how far it would go before jumping the track.
    We had a blast! But not so great for the train haha. So many memories!

  • Oh WOW Anna, such wonderful new items, you really hit it out of the park today. I already am putting together my shopping list and marked the times down on my calendar for the HSN shows. I would love the automobile for sure, my dad was in the service and he seemed to always pose by a car in his uniform, guess cause he was coming home from somewhere usually. He was in 3 wars WWII, Korea, & Vietnam he had 30 yrs in the Air Force. Sadly like your dad he is no longer with me, but I have such fond memories of him and he loved cars too. If not the car, then maybe the Simply Father’s Day card kit as my god-daughter wants to make a card for her dad and also make one from their dog Godiva to give to him, cause he is the main caretaker for Godiva.   • I love it all so much can’t decide. I have 5 brother in laws so I am always looking for guy stuff to keep their birthday cards fresh and fun they loved the train when I did it for them so I guess the car will have to be next. One . I did the kirigami for Christmas and everyone loved them so I guess I’ll have to do the male Kirigami now for them too so that’s two years of birthdays I’m happy. The Journal set is so beautiful and fun looking very feminine. I loved it the first time you brought it out.

  • Everything is so beautiful and I want it all. You are always coming up with such wonderful things. The father’s day line of dies are very nice too. Out of all of them I like the classic car. It is so retro. I would love to give this card to an older gentleman who remember the time that these cars were the thing. The classic card die is indeed a pleasant reminder of an era and time gone by.   • OMG!! i would love to win the Classic Car Die set. My Dad use to make these antique car models out of metal in his younger years and they were amazing. I lost him almost 2 years ago and would love to make these cards for the rest of the men in my life.   • There were two new items that really got my attention…..the Handsome Cut and Emboss Folders and The Classic Car Easel Card Dies. These are not just for Fathers but all men….my husband included, brothers and male friends. I have 2 brothers that have up- coming birthdays and one is in May. My oldest brother restores cars and to make a card with the Classic Easel Card Die. Would litteraly make his day special. My other brother can work on cars and he would love a card like that too. The cut and emboss folders are my favorites that I use all the time and these new handsome ones will help me to make some really nice man cards as I never have enough of them made ahead of time for birthdays.

  • Wow, Product Preview 1 is going to start May 9th off with a Bang! I love the Handsome Kirigami Scenes and Embellishments. I recently finished the July 25, 2022 Finishing School class for inspiration on using my Kirigami Scene and Card Toppers. I would love to add this Handsome collection to further my Kirigami skills and WOW my father and father-in-law this Father’s Day.     You talked about your memories with your dad and his car collection. Well the train die and cards bring back wonderful memories of my dad and our Wednesday mornings. He worked a half day that day and so we started it by doing breakfast in the park. Next to the park was a railroad track on which there was always a train passing while we picnicked. I can hear the whistle that sent us (all 7) to wave at the engineer and the guy on the caboose. It makes me almost smell the coffee my mom boiled on an open fire and the taste all the rolls she baked for this special time with dad. Those same trains often lulled me to sleep with their whistles as they passed on those very tracks nightly. It would be great to make cards that stirred up such memories.

  • Anna, I’m with you. The Classic Car Slimline Easel Dies are my pick. My dad stored his brother’s antique car in our garage for years that he restored using 24 coats of George Washington blue hand-rubbed in, and my aunt who is still living reupholstered the interior. My dad used to tell people that if a gnat got on the car it would slide off and break its neck because of how smooth the finish was on it. I know my aunt would enjoy receiving this card if I should win it as well as their son who also loves cars. I can think of a lot of friends and family who would love this car card!

Some of my favorite memories as a young girl were the times my Uncle Phil would drive to our house in his “classic” car. Sadly, he passed almost 2 years ago. The only men in my life these days, are my three sons, who all live on the opposite side of the country from me.   • This product preview is chock full of goodies! I’m very excited for the classic car slimline die fat, and the card stock bundle that works with it. The colors are just perfect.
    I am slowly building my inventory of more masculine items, and the carte Homme would be the pick! How that I think about it the kiragami dies would be a great addition as well!

  • Always love to see the previews. My fave is the Classic car slimlime easel die. I have always loved these older cars. One of our favorite trips was to a friends place to visit and get to see his old classic car. They would take it out and use it in the parade every year.

    Thanks for the lovely 5/9 preview. I am woefully short of beautiful craft stuff for men, so I would absolutely love the carte homme craft box or paper, handsome icon cut and emboss folder or the Father’s Day card making kit. I do like the antique car die (and the diesel die, as well), but unfortunately I only have a cuttlebug die cutting machine, so anything over 6 inches wide is just too big. I worked for a luxury car brand for many years before the pandemic doing special events all over the country, and this car brought me right back to the years we showed at the Concurs d’ Elegance. Anna would know of this because of her Father’s love of antique cars. There would be Rolls Royce’s with needlepoint cushions and vases inside for flowers, and hood ornaments made of glass, and my favorite, the James Bond cars. It was fantastic.   • Oh my, I can’t have a favorite. I love it all. Man cards always cause me pause but you just made it so easy. I love the antique car easel die as well as the paper set. If I had to pick 1 thing I might pick the flowers and labels journal. My granddaughter has just started journaling and I think this would encourage her to do it on a more regular basis.

    You can take this kit and make more advanced if you want to or you can make a cards quickly if need (it usually takes me forever to design a card that I am happy with)

  • Anna you did it again. Everything as beautiful as always. I love the classic car die . I don’t have my father any more. I lost him a few years ago, but my husband would love it . I can also send it for Birthdays to brothers and brother in laws. I was talking to some other crafters about things we need and the one thing was more sentiment stamps or a book or something . Most say they send cards, but have a hard time knowing what to say. If you could come up with a book with all Birthdays any age . All holidays for everyone. Some people just have a hard time. Im not fond of my hand writing so I try to type things to put in the card but I can’t always figure it out either. The words you come up with are as beautiful as your cards. So I hope maybe you can come up with something . Thank you for all the great stuff.

The classic car die is a must for all , it’s the perfect male card, for any occasion. But the kirigami dies are my love I can’t get enough of them they are by far the most gorgeous cards ever. So now you have a man’s version, absolutely over the top. This year my birthday falls on Mother’s Day ( hope my children know how to shop on HSN😂) and they will be asked to get their mom the journal set. My dad was a fighter pilot but loved his cars! His last car was a hot Pontiac that he called the “Blue Goose”. We lived near Tyndall AFB and a couple times a month, an airman would knock on the door to see if he was interested in selling it. Such memories. Yes, the Classic Car Slimline Easel Dies are special indeed! (Dad had a Model A Ford, a WWII ‘Willy’ Jeep and an Indian motorcycle.)

I swear if you were brunette, I would think you were my fraternal twin separated to be raised identically! LOL Seriously, this die reminds me of a cherished picture I have of my Grandmother and myself in my Dad’s 42′ Green Chrysler with suicide doors. We were at our city park for our August family reunion celebrating mine and her birthdays. She was born on the 17th and I was the 19th so every reunion we were the Belle’s of the ball.   • I love the new car die but I would love to win the classic car cardstock made for the new car die. I believe that you could still made the car and add it to pictures of your dad in scrapbooking. I lost my mom last month and my dad 6 years ago. It’s very difficult living alone with out her here. I would always make her cards and she loved all the ones made with your dies.

Unfortunately, I (James) do not make slimline cards (I am really hooked on the 5 x 7’s!), so the only thing that I can get excited about is the Carte Homme Cardstock and Vellum OR the Handsome Matte Foil Cardstock…who cannot always use more cardstock?   • I intend to add everything to my collections, but it might not be possible all at once. If only one thing could be mine, I think it has to be the old car. I had a pickup collection at one time. I ended up selling them when the horse market flattened. I loved them. (trucks and horses). I frequently paint old pickups on windows around town. The car will be a new treasure. A dealership I paint windows for has one that is that old on their showroom floor. She is referred to by name, and like a ship is called “she”. I really like that too. Those old autos changed all our lives forever. I look at the old maps of our area, and there were no car dealerships. There were livery stables and wagon repairs. I think we live in such a time, and it is pretty exciting. So, my choice would be the old car die.

  • The selection offered today is nice wish my father was still around but the carte homme and classic car card stock looks fantastic for possible cards to my son or grandsons. I do wish you would offer more up to date dies for todays male youth. Vintage is nice if your 90 but does not apply to todays men & button shirts & suits are pretty much passe. Just a suggestion but t-shirts, moutain bikes, motor bikes, video games, modern trucks appear to be the in vogue now or maybe up-to-date sporting equipment.

  • As usual, I want it all. But I will start with the antique car dies. I have been racking my brain as last June, 2 days before her young birthday, my sister in law passed away from Cancer. It was very sad, especially that the funeral was on her birthday.   • OMG! My jaw dropped when I saw the Classic Car die. Like you, I grew up with a dad who restored classic cars. He gave each of us one when we were in High School. Mine was just like this die, my brother has carried on the tradition of antique cars. Our great grandfather and grandfather made the bumpers that went on Fords. My son in law and his dad spent many years building and restoring those cars together, and the shared hobby is the best memory of Dad!!! Giving cards is actually a treasured tradition in their family, and it would be so special to give a card that would evoke such special memories! Please pick me to receive that die.

  • The Classic Car Dies is coming at a perfect time. My neighbor restores old cars but that’s only a part of why I need this die set. Right now my neighbor,Doug, is fixing the wall in my garage. My brother started it but fell off a stepladder and is in the hospital for a brain bleed. So Doug is now finishing it. He is always helping out like this and will not accept payment. A card made by this die set would express how much his kindness means to my family.

  • I would really like the Handsome Kirigami Scenes and Embellishments to go with my Kirigami dies. I love sending these as everyone is fascinated with them and I think they are really great for a masculine card.   • I would love to have the Simply Father’s Day card making kit. These simply kits are so easy to assemble but make such an awesome presentation to those we care about. The abundance of items for the men in our lives is wonderful and any of these products would be so useful because I don’t have many masculine products.   • The item that I am more excited about is the antique car easel die. I love antique cars and can think of many, many occasions where it will be used.

  • I love this time of year because you always have great Men’s products! I find it so hard to make male looking cards. I love the whole Simply Card Series even though I’m a seasoned crafter! Love the classic car to go with my train!

  • One of my fondest memories is riding in the rumble seat of a 1934 Ford Cabriolet on our way to a hayride on a crisp autumn evening. Thank you for bringing back that memory with the antique car. Absolutely love it!

  • As usual I love it all but one item that really catches my eye is the Journal. I’m in my seventies with very poor health, stage 4 cancer, kidney failure, diabetic, etc., therefore I’m not likely to live many more years. I have two grandchildren which are the apple of my eye, I would LOVE to leave each of them a journal with my thoughts, wishes, prayers and a few life lessons for them.

    So needless to say, I would be over the moon to win the Flowers and Labels Art Journals!

You can do so many things with those as I have the dad slimline die said I do need more paper for that also, I love the book. I wasn’t sure what that was all about but you explained it.   • I have so enjoyed making “HIM” cards with the Carte Homme kit and add-on pack. THANK YOU for making the 12″X12″ paper so we can cut out additional suits. REQUEST – Could you make some of the beautiful male papers in smaller versions (i.e. 6″X6″ or 6″X8″)? I’m using a lot of the ties, but there just isn’t enough of the tie paper to cut more. There were a few in the box, but if you use them on every card, they are used up very quickly!!! If you are able to develop this, I will be FIRST in line to buy it…LOL Love the vintage car too.

  • I absolutely love the color palette of Carte Homme Cardstock and Vellum. Such rich gorgeous colors and patterns. I never seem to have enough masculine paper on hand to work with. Carte Homme Cardstock and Vellum is definitely my favorite, would love to win it.

  • What a beautiful and amazing Product Preview #1 for May 9th. The most wanted item I wish to win is the Antique Car SL Die set. Just after you first previewed this die set on HSN (and sold out), my husband and I were inducted into the Cruisin’ Couples Car Club in our area. This club is unique as only current members vote to induct a new “Couples” member into the club. My husband and I were so honored to become members of this unique club. Our Antique Car club is made up of 15 couples (30 members total) who get together and show our classic cars around Central Florida at other car shows and events. I would love to present each couple in the club with a classic car card modeled after their car if possible as a Thank You for inducting us into the club. Winning this die set would be so special not only to me but to each member of the club enjoying a “Work of Art” replica of their car as a card. Thank you.

    Thank you for all of the items for the GENTLEMEN in our lives, there really isn’t enough manly dies, paper and ephemera.
    My favorite thing in today preview is the classic car set. My husband and father both rebuild cars so I would use those dies for card making and oh the scrapbook pages… I can just see them now. You could use the tires 🛞 on the corner of pictures on the pages… oh boy now I’m super excited!!!!

  • I really love the classic car easel die. When I was growing up I was always the one to help my dad work on the cars. He only had the 2 daughters and my sister was the girly girl who could not stand to get dirty. I loved the time we spent together working on the cars and talking. I learned so much about my dad and about cars during all the years I helped him. I was even able to fix my own car most of the time when I went away to college. It was a special time with wonderful memories that made our relationship so much closer and life so much fuller!

    I have the Art Journals and doing a small size family tree/scrapbook. Almost finished with my side of the family and the other journal will be my husband’s immediate family-pictures tend to be spotty (hard to come by). My only question-what to do with the book that contains all the flowers and tags when emptied?

  • Really appreciate the more masculine papers, cards and embellishments as I have a son and grandsons to make cards for. However, I have asked in the past if you could include BOWLING embellishments to the sports stickers. Diamond Press finally added some stickers and stamps for bowling. Would be very grateful. Enjoy the old time derby hats, clothing and cars as one of my grandsons is into acting. But they all bowl regularly.

  • There are so many things. You packed a punch in this preview for sure!!! The car dies and car papers because Dad also had some old beauties. I got the Carte Homme box last year on autoship and really love that …so the cardstock and vellum that go with that line would be great as I need a refill of those patterns.   • I am in LOVE with the car die! My SIL and I have started a card ministry for the kids Sunday school. We make up card kits and the kids can pick one, make the card and then present it to someone they pledge to pray for during the week. Girls are easy – boys have been a bit more difficult. We have requests for more car cards. How perfect! We put double sided adhesive strips on the back of embellishments and sentiments so the kids can put their own design twist. I am SO excited!

  • What an explosion of goodness! There are so many new and novel products that it is difficult to choose a favorite. The classic car with its matching “paint colored” cardstock is amazing, but I’m also drawn to the Handsome Kirigami Scenes and Embellishments! Both would give so many more masculine card options!

  • Beautiful presentation! And the papers, oh my! I love florals, so I’m often at a loss when creating for the men in my life or women friends who have “quieter” taste. I love the paper presented today, Carte Homme Cardstock. I can imagine the dozens of cards and scrapbook pages I could make with this set. I’m also drooling over the Classic Car Cardstock color palette!

  • Oh My, Oh My…The Car Die!! My dad still has the first car he ever bought, a 1930 Model A Ford that he paid $30 for. He restored it when we were little. My siblings and myself got to help wet sand it when we were barely old enough to remember. It has been through many parades and is cherished by my family.   • Anna and Co this is a deluge of wonderful things
    However, I would most like to acquire the ANTIQUE CAR DIES. My wonderful son put three boys through college, putting off all of his desires…..when they were finished with college he started looking for an antique car, which he had always wanted. His story is so funny, and poignant. He lives in Ohio, found the “ideal” car in North Dakota. He flew to ND and drove the car back. His adventures were hysterical…..the “ideal ” car made several stops at garages on the way home, one of which was in Sturgis..during a motorcycle rally. Eventually, he had to have the car towed…He named the car, Ethel , after his wife’s Grandmother…..so that his wife would love the car too! I can make him cards for every holiday using this die. I can use it to scrapbook his journey ….
