One can never get enough embellishments. That’s the great thing about our cut and emboss folders, you can create endless embellishments day in and day out! Today, we are going to be working with one of our favorite folder sets, the Flourish Cut and Emboss Folders. We love that flourishes are the perfect addition to any paper project. Their shape provides movement with just the perfect amount of whimsy. If you don’t have this set yet, then you are in luck. Get yours on sale here while supplies last!
Ready to craft together?
To get started we cut flourishes with two colors of cardstock.
First, we use an ice blue cardstock to make a flourish. You can use your scraps or cut down your paper, but it doesn’t have to be exact.
Next, use another color (we chose a silvery gray) and cut two more flourishes.
Next, using foam adhesive add your flourishes around the smaller, circular diecut.
Use a combination of rose stickers and add them to your card.
Tuck the rose stickers behind layers and circle the diecut. Add your card sentiment and ribbon for a finishing touch.
Now, the roses and flourishes have beautiful movement! Send this Happy Birthday card to a friend or family member.
We have a few more cards to show you using our Flourish Cut and Emboss Folders.
Adding flourishes to a collage card topper gives it extra dimension.
Flourishes are beautiful in concert with 3D flowers and patterned layers.
Surround your sentiments with flourishes and double them for added interest.
Using flourishes in multiples is always a good idea!
We love how our cut and emboss folders give you gorgeous embellishments in one pass through your diecutting and embossing machine. They work beautifully with any of your favorite papers whether they are matte, foil, patterned or vellum. You will find yourself reaching for these handy folders time and time again, we guarantee it! Today’s tutorial will be available for one week, and after that you can access it in our Finishing School archive. Meet us here next Tuesday for more weekly step by step projects!
