Hi everyone,

We are so glad that you are joining us for the first Fan Mail Friday of the year. We had a little break here at the office, and are feeling refreshed and recharged to take 2023 by storm! We have lots of incredible projects to show you from Christmas projects and New Year’s cards to thank you cards and more. We love receiving mail from you here at the office, and this week is no exception! Getting to know you is such a treat, and we adore all of the great Christmas letters telling us all about your lives and families. We love being a part of your life! Pay close attention to the sentiments included in today’s cards. There are such fantastic warm wishes on these projects!

Our friend Jane wished us health and happiness now and always. Same to you Jane! Thank you for this gorgeous card.

Pat made us a beautiful shaped card, and hopes to come back to Atlanta for Create one day.

The rose gold and red matte foil combination on Jenny’s card is so gorgeous. She is excited for all that she has learned and for the things to come in 2023!

Our friend Yolanda has made amazing holiday cards! From cards made with the Sewing Cut and Emboss Folders to festive holiday hearths, each one is personalized and made with so much love. Thank you for your amazing crafting recap and the wonderful card you sent us!

Vivian’s Nutcracker scene is so much fun! She thanked us for the beautiful tools to create with. We hope you have a great year too, girlfriend!

Hello 2023! Happy New Year to you Richard. We hope that your year is filled with all things good!

Clare’s lovely shaped card and ornament made our day! We are excited to add it to the tree next year. So much love to you, Clare!

  • Love the cat socks. Whole sets of cat embelishments, stickers, paper, etc. would be fantastic!

  • Dear Anna — beautiful projects. If I may make a suggestion — could you consider perhaps adding more red and silver sheets to your matte foil
    cardstock? The red is so beautiful and I use it so much in all my scrapbooking and card crafting. Another idea could be possibly selling individual color packs. Your matte foil is the best!

    • I second that!!! And a deeper (almost forest) green. I do agree the quality of the matte foil is great. I especially like to use the rose gold as a background layer.

  • Anna, I did not know that your father had passed away this year. I have heard you speak of him before. I lost my dad about 10 years ago. I was beside myself. Dad would walk me through a repair to the house or car over the phone from 550 miles away. Mom was sick a lot and missed so many milestones. Dad picked out my first communion dress. Now my brother is the one who inherited my DIY problems, having walked me through a toilet repair last week, again, from 550 miles away and over the phone. I am sorry for your loss.

  • Hello Anna and staff, I started crafting in 1982 by buying books. looking at HSN when your products were being displayed and buying your kits for Christmas. This past Christmas I made 122 cards using your kits and looking at your blogs and the wonderful ideas from other crafters as you posted your cards.

    This blog is an inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing . I am very excited about the possibility of a faith based kit – I did not order the dies on time however, I did as soon as they became available. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration. Today I begin crafting my Valentine cards.

  • That was so enjoyable to watch. There were so many beautiful cards that inspired. I’m a fan of Richard’s work and love the retro HOLIDAY INN movie photo frame easel card with the clock almost at midnight. Actually there was a song with the lyrics saying it was ” almost midnight ringing the New Year in”. What fun. But I am most impressed with how Anna picks up a card from the many stacks, knows who it’s from and recalls an anecdote from the contents of the letter. It shows how she truly cares about the effort and care fans put in to contribute to FMF. Looks like 2023 is off to a good start!

  • Thank you Anna for sharing every ones beautiful creations! I enjoyed making the Nutcracker stage with the Christmas tree and Nutcracker. I made several and gave them away as gifts/cards. My 14 year old niece was so excited when she received it, she asked her dad if Auntie Viv had made it when she open her package.

    Like I mentioned in my card to you, you provide us with such wonderful design tools. These lets us be as creative as we possibly can. I look forward to some more great dies. I have already purchased some new items, I and can’t wait to CREATE! God bless you and your wonderful staff in 2023!!

  • The creativity in this Fan Mail Friday is incredable!! I loved all of it and so wish I had that talent. I do make cards for a lot of people, mostly family and a few special friends. I loved the story about the cardinal. Here in El Paso, Texas, we don’t have any colorful birds. We have sparrows, mocking birds, black birds, pidgeons and doves. All of them gray, black and brown. I guess it goes with the landscape. Nothing green, everything brown. That isn’t a complaint, all of God’s creation is wonderful. Anna, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. Many years ago now, my father passed away on December 21st and we buried him on December 24th. Needless to say, that Christmas was a very difficult one. I really didn’t feel like celebrating, but with two children, we couldn’t not celebrate. Hope the New Year will bring a lot of happiness into your life. You are such a wonderful and generous person. May God richly bless you for all you do for others. You are the best!
