Craftspiration- September 1st, 2022
Hello crafters,
All we can say about today’s Craftspiration projects is WOW! We are stunned by all of the beautiful cards, scrapbook pages and 3D paper projects that were shared this week. Halloween is making a grand appearance today, along with Christmas and more. It’s such a treat to see all of your creative abilities on display today, and we are always so proud to share your amazing projects.
Grab a cup of coffee and come be inspired by all of this week’s wonderful offerings!
Chartreuse and Turquoise Christmas anyone? This unusual combination comes from my messy crafting desk. I had the background Thankfulness card stock on my desk from making some Thank You cards last week. I came across the two very old card toppers in a box of Christmas materials and realized how well they matched with the card stock. From that point, easy to pick up the red and turquoise from the toppers to use for the die cut layers.”

Barbie wrote, “Pumpkin Easel – Meet Mr MJ!! Rock-chela is approaching fast! Meet the fourth performer at this year’s performance – Mr. Michael Jackson, the King of Pop! He is a “Thriller”! His iconic moonwalk, silver glove and his videos. He is just so “Bad” and nobody can “Beat” him! All Anna except the Boo/Spider web die cut and the lace bow!”

Beth posted, “Stellar Birthday Working on September birthdays . The new Stars Aligned Dies go great together with the Celestial Dies and Celestial Card Toppers. This is an easel card I made for my niece Jackie.”
Love the Virgo card, Beth!
Marie said, “I love this card from the finishing school classes and now I need more embellishments…LOL. But it was worth it.”
Donna shared, “The past few years I have began to create memorial pages for friends. This one is for our friend Linda whose beloved Cecil just passed. They were SC Hall of Fame Shag dancers. Cecil was 83 and still rocking it. It was placed in a black frame.”
Dayle posted, “Another pageant page using paper from the damask collection. I decided to use my Anna flower and leaf dies to make my own flower embellishments. And have to use my butterflies from her 3D dies. It is hard to see but they all have a touch of shimmer. I am not sure if the colors work but thought I would give it a try.”
Sherry said, “I decided to make a Halloween card with my new Pop Out Die. I used various embellishments I had laying around my craft room. On the inside of the card I decided to use the fence and black cats from Mini House Decorative Die Cuts in the middle of the pop out in place of the four dies and corner spider webs on the front and inside of the card. The bats on the front of the card are from the Spiders & Specters 2 Dies.”
These are so much fun and frightfully delightful.
Wendy shared, ” This weekend I pressed pause on my Christmas card making to create these little beauties with the Witchy Card Making Kit. Talk about fun!”
Each one is spookier than the next!
Kathy said, “This is a birthday card I created for my daughter. I was inspired by the 3rd finishing school class for the Birthday Box. I changed the positioning a bit and left out the belly band. I also added a few mini peacock feathers I had on hand.”
Adina shared, “Shaped Kirigami The Wildflower Garden Embossing Folder worked beautifully with the Album Making Die. I used the Kirigami oval but framed it and trimmed the outside to fit the center of the Baroque Die cut layer. The inside was a bit tricky. I used the Album Making Die shadow layer to cut the sentiment insert. And to my surprise, it worked! I used one of the jacket inserts and attached it in the back instead of the front because I didn’t want to hide the printed side.”
Gorgeous work, Adina!
Jimmie said, “September 1st is “Welcome Back to Hogwarts” ! Made a card to celebrate and invite my friends to a Harry Potter movie marathon! I love Anna’s Castle die cut! It’s perfect!”
This is amazing Jimmie! We’re ready for the feast and the sorting hat!
Maria posted, “I made a 3D Holiday Open House as the centerpiece for this Christmas Card. To create the scene I used die cuts from the Snow Globe, Carte Noel and the Mini Christmas Sentiment Stickers Folio. The gold frame and wreath in the front of the card were die cut from impression dies and the boy and girl were from the Snow Globe embellishments.”
Roxanne wrote, “I had some extra pieces I had previously cut out like the butterflies, bows & concentric pieces so I thought I’d put them together to make a card. I didn’t add a sentiment. Just waiting for the right occasion to send it.”
Shakuntala shared, “I wanted to make a snowy evening scene in Paris. I plan on sending it to someone for their birthday.”
This card is so creative! We love the scene you made.
Barbara said, “Bubble Double: Halloween Trouble Using Anna Griffin Halloween Dies and Ephemera to make up a Spooky Scrap Book.”
What a hauntingly beautiful project, Barbara!
Diane wrote, “Ghost Train for Halloween I wanted to make an easel train Halloween card. After I cut all the pieces and put main pieces together, I searched my stash for Halloween embellishments to decorate. Working with what I have, ended up creating this for a friend on a whim.”
