Craftspiration – June 9th, 2022
Hello Griffinites,
June is such a fun month to craft for! Every time you turn around you are met with a wedding, graduation, anniversary and birthday! You all have been busy bees creating special cards and projects for all kinds of occasions. If you are wondering what to make for a proud graduate we have ideas for you! Need something for dear old dad? We have you covered! You’ll be inspired by these cards for baby, wedding and so much more!
Come see what our talented community of crafters has created and shared this week!
Vivian posted, “Graduation “CONGRATS” Explosion Box I made this box for my niece who is receiving her Masters in Clinical Psychology. I rolled up 2 hundred dollar bills to look like certificates/diplomas. She has worked so hard on this and I think she deserves it!”
This is too cute; perfect for a graduation celebration!
Sharilyn said, “Lots of June birthdays.”
Linda said, “I finished 3 pages from CAH2. I am going to make another page to go with this title page. Creating the heritage book for future generations of my family is a labor of love.”
Yvonne wrote, “Made my first Carriage card for a wedding. Fancy Foil paper for the easel base and saddle bag. I used a gold glitter paper for the shadow and white shimmer for the carriage and horse. Mascara roses line the easel with pretty dimensional flowers on the carriage. Added pearls to the carriage top and wheels. A flourish for the horse. For the windows in the carriage I cut a partial square from the Salon Nouveau die set in the same paper as the easel. I did have to trim it a little bit. Added a little sparkle to the flowers with glitter glue. This die set is very easy to assemble.”
This is the perfect card for a lovely couple.

Adina posted, “I love the weight of the Floral Crop cardstock for easel cards. It is sturdy and the card stands at attention. I love the vivid colors, as well. This card is a mish-mash of dies and papers. There is a sentiment under the Kirigami circle on the base. I burned up a copious amount of brain cells trying to match the flowers on the paper with the matching flower embellishments. I tried to make them all flow the same way as my imaginary breeze was blowing. I almost always make a card from start to finish without stopping. Before I know it, hours upon hours have gone by. The birds have stopped singing. The sun is long gone. It’s wayyy past a decent bedtime. All oblivious to me! When I come out of my trance, I end up dehydrated, hungry, and needing a shower. Not to mention the mess I leave behind in my wake. But, I usually have a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. Thank you, Anna Griffin INC, for beautiful, quality products that spark the imagination and light a fire that is capable of spreading joy around the world!”
Dayle said, “My Sunday share a day late. One of my husband’s favorite movies is planes, trains and automobiles. No matter how many times he sees it he cracks up with laughter. I thought Anna’s train die would make a great slim line Father’s Day card for him. Papers and embellishments are from the handsome collection.”
Excellent combination of crafting items, Dayle!
Judy wrote, “He’s going to University of Utah and where you’ll be playing on their hockey team. If you know anything about hockey maybe wondering how Alabama boy is able to play hockey on the Utah team. He’s good, and he is a good grandson and just an all-around good guy. His name is Reed Pittman and he loves his Hunny (that’s me).”
Congratulations to Reed!
Jane shared, “I crafted this card for my Crafting Sister Barbie Stowell! She had given me a photo easel creation as a gift during our Tea Luncheon in early May. She wrote me a note that we’re crafting sisters and I thought that was so neat. I wanted to craft her a card that really conveyed my thoughts and thanks to her. She has been a really great friend to me for a good while. We met in the original Anna Griffin groups. I had posted just prior to the first virtual Create in 2020 that I wanted to create an Arizona specific AG Fan Group in the hopes of one day meeting up in person. It can be a little scary putting yourself out there and wondering if anyone will want to connect with you. It’s almost like going to a new school and wondering if you’ll make new friends. Barbie reached out to me and said she would join if I did create one, so I did! Barbie was the first person I added to the AZ Griffin Gals. Since then we have built a great friendship and have become sisters!”
We love seeing all of your crafting groups and the beautiful friendships that you are building.

Debbie posted, “Clock Dies & CAH2 card stock Had fun today with the clock dies & beautiful left over CAH2 materials.”

Catherine wrote, “I added the perfect Beaux Regards card topper for the belly band of this card. This took a little time to make, but it is oh, so fun! The Carte Homme kit is so unique, and everyone who has seen the cards I have made from this kit love them. As they say, perfect for Father’s Day, Birthday, Graduation, and Wedding cards. Thanks Anna for this wonderful kit!”
Diane posted what she called her “Glitzy Glam Grad” card.
Mary said, “Another great mix of new and old Anna with timeless beauty!”
Mary Beth said, “Sorry no Dads… but maybe potential in the wedding couple this is for…Inspiration from Crop at Home pages!”

All so beautiful, especially Tina’s card…so beautifully dramatic!!
Thank you all for sharing.
Hi Dayle: Please tell your hubby to move over on the couch and pass the popcorn. Planes, Trains and Automobiles is my favorite movie too! John Candy was taken too soon. He had so much more laughter to give us. My favorite scene was when the police pulled over the burned out car and John Candy tries to convince the officer that the car is definately road worthy. I laugh just thinking about it.
Beautiful works of art.
Thank you all for sharing.
