Craftspiration – June 23rd, 2022
Hi friends,
Summer crafting is in full swing! From this past week’s Father’s Day celebrations to our new 3D Rococo Die Set making its debut, there is a lot to see on this week’s Craftspiration post! It’s time to sit back, relax and be inspired by all of the lovely crafts that our community of talented crafters have made this week.
Heidi said, “I have been so busy with cats and stressing of the other cats. Like Anna you know how that went with your two. It’s a little bit chaotic here. Two seniors having a hard time with new baby. Anyhow, she is walking about and doing her thing with constant monitoring. Today I decided to finish what I started weeks ago. Which is die cutting and lots of it. This way I can get into making cards again with a little more help by being ahead. This is Gracie’s first experience of mommy crafting. Ha mine too. She’s a noodle!”
What a cutie!
Terry wrote, “I absolutely adore the Furry Friends line of products! Anna, please consider bringing it back, or something similar.”

Dayle said, “Happy Father’s Day to all.”

Becky Jo shared, “The outside of my Dad’s “where’s my fish?” Anna Griffin Inc. part one of two.”

Belinda said, “July Birthday card! Gazebo and Summertime! Are you ready for a picnic?”

Gwen posted, “My granddaughter turns 21 next week. Happy Birthday Sophie Rose!”
Happy, Happy Birthday!

Mary posted, “I made this birthday train for my TV cowboy hero, who will turn 89 next month. He is still going strong, an amazing man! Hope he likes it!”

Sherry said, “This card was inspired by the actual wedding cake. The theme was inspired by the blue sky and twinkling stars at sunset.”

Peggy wrote, “I wanted to make a special birthday card for a dear friend who was celebrating her 85th birthday. So I made a card using Anna’s Kirigami die cuts. Our birthday gal really enjoyed receiving this unique card.”

Debbie shared, “My son’s best friend is expecting a baby boy this week. I just received the Baby Icon Cut and Emboss folders & thought they would be a great addition to the train easel card along with embellishments from CAH2.”
Too cute, Debbie!

Janet wrote, “I’ve never posted here before but I shared the Fathers’ Day card I made for my husband on another platform and so many people got a kick out of it, I decided to share it here. My handsome hubby’s heads are on springs so they bobble. Hope you enjoy.”

Kristin shared, “Father’s Day card for my husband.”
Love the way you constructed this card, and the composition!
Roxanne wrote, “I used the new Rococo die set & added a kirigami butterfly in the center to make this easel card.”

Marie said, “My Rococo dies arrived today and I was so taken in by their beauty that I had to make a card right away. All the detail is just so impressive. Thanks to Anna for once again making us look good!”

Linda shared, “I chose this card design out of the examples for Carte Homme Finishing School box. My husband competes with my brother on who can wear the ugliest tie. Secondly, he carries a brief case every day to work. Third, he has to catch the train to work at 5:00am, so he is always watching the clock. He really liked his card. I found the Carte Homme cards easy and fun to make.”
What a pretty card!

Sharilyn posted, “I made this for my Hubby for Fathers Day!”

Adina said, “Before making a card with the Rococo Die that I just received, I wanted to learn a little about the history of Rococo art. Thanks to Google, here are a couple of things I found. Rococo art, sometimes called a “feminized” version of the Baroque style, is associated with the aristocracy. The paintings feature beautiful aristocrats in gorgeous clothing. The figures are tall and slender, elegant and graceful. Colors are gentle, often pastels. Sometimes pink roses appear in unnatural profusion. This is a simple card that I felt represented the Rococo style and showed off this beautiful die. I used products from the Vignette Papers and Embellishments: drapes, paper doll, and room panel.”
Thanks for sharing the history lesson, Adina!

Karen wrote, “My first card is for my father-in-law for Father’s Day. I decided on the Triple Suit card from Carte Homme. It must be because of my background and my degree in Fashion, but I have enjoyed this box the most of all. Something about creating suits and styling them with different men’s furnishing, it’s just so cool!”
We are so glad you love Carte Homme!

Deborah said, “Just got my new Rococo dies today and have been waiting to get going on my RWB cards for July 4th. The only thing added was a little blue ink to the embossed layer.. used blue, red and white metallic cardstock along with gold matte foil then a few bits from our FS Card Box Celebration Chest.”

Chrissie shared, “The last few months haven’t been good for cardmaking for me, but I made this one today. Finally. I used some older things – Woven Diamonds embossing folder Fretworks die Spectacular Starbust dies Flourish cut and emboss folders Card topper with cut tails.”

Karenbeatrice posted, “I made this Train Card for my other half’s son, Joshua, who loves Thomas the Tank Engine train. The day Anna released this train die I immediately bought it with the intention of making this card for Joshua. The Birthday Boy and Daddy are really close which is why I added them both in the window. I had so much fun paper piecing. Anna’s papers worked beautifully! I used the Handsome Slimline Matte Foil Cardstock that had the perfect shades of blue and red as well as the black from the Spooky Matte Foil Cardstock. I also used the boarder dies for the curtains in the window, and Anna’s glitter paper. Embellishments for the smoke came from Anna Griffins Foil Flourishes. Thank you so much Anna for the perfect die!”

From the ornate details of Rococo to birthday trains to fish-in-a-pocket, and everything else, every creative card is filled with love and imagination! I’m especially enjoying Rococo creations, (as I had not purchased), that caprure the spectrum from every day to exquisite! YES, ‘THAT’S beautiful-in-the-making ‘ as Anna says! How wonderful she helps get the idea from the mind to the paper!

I love all of these beautiful works of art!
Anna, please consider bringing back the vignette embellishments & the furry friends. I didn’t know about your products back then so I never got them. Thank you so very much.
I like the gazebo for the 4th of July, makes me think of the celebrations when I was growing up. Love it.
The “Thomas The Train” card is hands down my favorite project! Thomas was such a favorite in our house when our youngest son was growing up. All of these projects are beautiful!

My little nephew is 7 yrs old & loves trains. I’m saving this die for a Christmas card for him this year. Maybe I can find a Santa to drive it.

Check out Anna’s snow globe embellishments.

These cards shout celebration. I am awed by the creativity seeing how papers were mixed and matched for each card. The men’s suites were personalized in funny cute ways; Becky Jo’s fish pockets, Janet and Karen’s sharply dressed trio, and Linda’s tie. Mary thanks for the train inspiration. My husband turns 80 and I will be making a version for his surprise. Heidi, Gracie is adorable.
Wowser! What inspirational projects here. Haha Gracie, too funny 😂 thank you 🥰
