This week, we’re making three cards with our Petite French Frame Dies https://annagriffin.com/product/fancy-french-frames-dies/. These dies are a mini set of our beloved French Frame Dies, and work beautifully with the larger set or separately. This set works with your Empress or Empress Mini and if you don’t have a set of your own, you can get one here: https://annagriffin.com/product/petite-french-frame-dies/. Let’s make 3 cards together!
For our first card, take a card base and a selection of coordinating paper to cut.
Use a patterned paper and cut your frame layer; adhere with foam adhesive.
Add a contrasting oval diecut in the middle of your frame die.
Add your coordinating Petite French Frame diecut in the same pattern as the larger one.
Add your next oval diecut with foam adhesive.
Take your smallest diecut and add the sentiment into the middle of it.
Secure with foam adhesive.
Add floral embellishments in between and around your frames.
Complete the look with a bow of your choice!
For card two, we cut coordinating frames in different cardstock.
Add an oval layer to the middle.
Place your sentiment in the middle of your smallest diecut and center.
Add your favorite flowers around the frame for a beautiful birthday card.
Sometimes, cutting your large frames with patterned paper makes for a lovely layer.
Cut a contrasting smaller die and adhere.
Choose a sentiment and add to the middle of your card.
Flowers on opposite corners are always a good idea!
A pretty bow goes right below your sentiment!
Feast your eyes on a few more examples made with this incredible die set.
Layering the small and larger French Frame Dies creates a beautiful and balanced card every time! We really enjoy working with both of these sets, and hope that you start to do the same! This tutorial will be available here on the blog for one week, and then it will live inside Charm School.
