two vintage inspired valentine cards in white, red and gold

Craftspiration- January 18th, 2024

Hello Griffinites,

We just love seeing your beautiful projects gracing our social media channels! It is clear that love is in the air, and your valentines are absolutely stunning! From kirigami valentines to heart shaped boxes, everything is lovely here today. Crafting for Valentine's Day is one of our very favorite occasions to make projects for. There's just something about red, pink, hearts and lace!

Let's take a look at your creations this week.

Clare posted, "Rosette wreath for my dad. We lost my mom in 2020 but she's still his sweetheart, so I hid their wedding picture under the small kirigami heart. My dad lives on the coast of NH so the Dresden lobster is a romantic creature.

I made this following Tammy Jones' excellent Valentine rosette tutorial on YouTube (FunTimeCrafts247). Thanks, Tammy!"
Lorri said, "I saw a dear friend recently. We took a picture so I could make a photo card to send to her. She’ll be 95 next month."
So special, she is going to love it!
Jane wrote, "When you are missing Christmas, make Valentines!"
Good advice, Jane! Love the wands made with the Enchanted 3D Concentric Dies.
Dayle shared, "Last one of my trio of Valentines inspired by Anna’s AGTV last week.  I didn’t have the heirloom dies but as Anna said any die set would work.  I used dies from the craft box snowflake wonderland kit.  Various Anna’s papers and embellishments. I used the heart dies and hearts cut and emboss folders and little heart Dresden is from Rose Hill."

Laura said, "Good morning Sunday Share friends! I am still working on creating Valentine's Day cards. I am now creating Valentine's Day cards for my excellent caretakers at the hospital."
Diane wrote, "Valentine cards are my favs. The card base is from AG’s Springtime Cards. I used the Victorian Concentric die for the frame, a cutout doily heart from Michael’s Crafts, flower heart was in the Enchanted Vellum Card Toppers, baby pink fabric bows from Rose Mille, the rose & sentiment stickers in my AG supplies."
Yvonne said, "I was so happy to receive the Kirigami Hearts today. This one is a vintage Victorian Valentine in red, silver and black & white toile. The pull is one of the sentiments from the Romantic Stickers and Sentiments as is the little bouquet of flowers under the Kirigami heart."
Shellie shared, "Valentines and friends are on my mind! First, a 'warm up' (shown at left), like Anna's Finishing School cover, using a FAVORITE, SAVED card base from Fall Patterns, and similar embellishments as hers. Second (at right), I 'made a scene,' using the last square of this pretty little pair of birds, die-cutting with the medium Scallop Frame Die, as well as the Large Scallop, from CROP At Home III. Both cards feature the beautiful 3D Enchanted Concentric Hearts and Anna's lush red Matte Foil--one inked with more gold, and one with less. I love BIRDS that deliver Valentines!"
Gorgeous cards, Shellie! We are in awe of them!
Marie posted, "Working on Valentines Day cards and really enjoyed Carte Noire for this one."
Vickey shared, "I finished the last of 7 Heart Shaped Boxes, using one of Anna’s tutorials (“All Hearts” class). I’ll place covered candies in the box for gifts. All Anna: Enchanted 3D Concentric Dies, Corner Cut and Emboss Folders, open stock Valentine card stock, gold matte, and China Cabinet Floral Stickers."
What a sweet and beautiful gift! Thank you for sharing.
Diane said, "Christmas family visits and decorating the house are now over, Valentines Day is next."
There are a few more weeks to get those valentines finished. Look to the cards above for amazing ideas on colors, pattern mixing, composition and construction. We can always learn something wonderful from one another!
We hope that you will join us this Wednesday, January 24th at 12pm for our 30th Anna-versary crafting show on AGTV! 2024 is a big year for us, and we would love for you to come celebrate, craft and chat with our community.
Love,
Anna

Those heart boxes are simply beautiful! What a great idea! I haven’t done very well with boxes yet. I have been in Anna’s finishing school since it started, never get to go in live due to work, but have watched all of them and just can’t get the knack of the box coming out perfect. I would be like a little kid if I received a box like that. Thanks for writing down all the supplies you used, very thoughtful of you, I have wrote it down in case I decide to try a box again. I love seeing what other people make, it always makes my day. Thanks to everyone for allowing me to see all your wonderful work.
