Anna Griffin on HSN, 10 Years of Crafts

By Anna Griffin // January 8, 2020 //

Hello there,

This January marks 10 years of Anna Griffin Elegant Papercrafting on HSN. Time flies when you are having fun! Over the next month, we want to revisit some of our favorite HSN moments with you! From launching new, innovative products to sharing special times with you throughout the years, we have enjoyed every minute.

This ad was placed in Creating Keepsakes Magazine December 2009. Does anyone remember this from our premiere? I love the hair!

Our very first show on HSN was January 12, 2010, and it was the beginning of a beautiful thing. If you remember watching, our first HSN host was Suzanne Runyan. My favorite memory from the 1am launch was joking with Suzanne about being a hot mess when it comes to crafting.  It’s only fitting that our 10th Anniversary kicks off with her on Craft Day January 27th at 11pm!

Whether you have been with us since the beginning, or are a new fan, it would be a lot of fun to hear your favorite Anna Griffin on HSN memories. Share them with us in the comments, and we will pick some to share on our next blog post! Are you ready to take a walk down memory lane?

Love,

Anna

I’m new to your product, but your stamping kits are more than awesome. They are so beautiful I can’t stop looking at them. I have enjoyed making them, but there was one set that couldn’t figure out and my husband couldn’t either. I put them in a safe place because I was going to ask a friend if she could help me, now I can’t find it to save my neck. I just love your products. Thank you for sharing your talents.

Anna, I have been a fan of yours for more years than I care to remember! Longer than HSN and QVC. You have been a bright spot in my life and have been there many times when I have been in need of a distraction from the pain of my arthritis. I am so glad you have the wonderful new mini Empress. I am beginning to have trouble cranking.
I just do not know how to thank you for all the wonderful memories we have created together (you did not know that you were there with me when you pictured ideas for cards to get us started).
The people I work with cannot wait until they get their Christmas cards every year. I was a week later than usual this past year and when I arrived with the cards everyone was so excited and said they were afraid they were not getting any this year. I think I will start making birthday cards for them this year as well.
I just wanted to thank you for all you have given me.

I remember being up with a sick child, the day before my birthday & was so thrilled to find you live. Your stationary had been my favorite, starting with our Wedding invitations!
Love both of you together! Suzanne is a super host for a Super Presenter!
    Congrats ???

    Hi Anna:
More than 10 years ago I was at Michaels store and noticed your book on a rack with the frontage saying “Anna Griffin” Decorative Impressions, Handmade Greeting Cards With Rubber Stamps & Brass Stencils, I flipped some pages and immediately knew that my friend Eileen S. would most certainly want you, as her artist, for her new book that she was planning to write called “Royal Teas” With Grace and Style. I certainly was correct in knowing what my friend likes, Eileen did call you and the story now is that you did all her background artwork for the whole book, which is published. Since then both her and I have been stamping then graduated to using “all” your products for our cards, we both love all your products and thank you for doing such a great job for her and for “all” of us. Look forward to each show you are on at HSN.
    We love you Anna
    Arlene

Hi Anna, It seems as though I have watched you forever! I have enjoyed watching you and using all of your fabulous products throughout the years. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I was asked to do a Skype call with you on HSN. During the 5 p.m. show on May 2, 2018 , I shared my Mother’s Day hat that I embellished with paper flowers using your mini and large 3D Flowers Cutting Dies. Your reaction and Bobbi Ray’s made my day! It was so much fun and something that I will never forget.

Thank you for all the fun through the years. I have many of your older papers and stamps (I think from the Q) and recently found some treasures while packing up my studio for our big move. Downsizing doesn’t mean lessening my stash of Anna Griffin classics!!! Looking forward to a new studio and new projects.

Congrats, Anna. I have been watching since QVC. To tell the truth I wasn’t a real fan of Victorian or vintage. I believe watching you and your love for old collectibles has caused a fondness to develop. I feel the sweet and caring person that you are has made me love your products more. You are a special lady that we all would love to have as a daughter. Have a wonderful 10th anniversary.

I have been watching you since DIY scrapbooking with Sandi. I love your products and everyone I send your cards to loves them. Somewhere buried in my craft room I have DVD’s of you on the show. I have the Empress, I had a stress fracture of my hand and it allowed me to keep making cards for Christmas, thank you!! Happy Anniversary!!

Oh Anna, you’ve done it again! Every year I say how is Anna going to top this year? But you do, I am in love with the Popup Flower Dies! If I don’t win them, I will have to buy them. Also I love anything Velum, the Popup flower is so beautiful! Its hard to believe, it’s been 10 years. You are just as sweet and pretty, as you were 10 year ago.
Thank you Anna, you are a Crafting Goddess!
    Your royal subject.

PS; Happy Anniversary, I wish you Decades more.

Hi Anna. Talk about memory lane. I originally missed the Creating Keepsake magazine announcement but tuned on HSN to see the craft day event and about fell out of my chair when I saw you on!!!! I had been following you for years before and loved your first books and stamps with All Night media. Bought all of them. I am with Etta Miller (posted below) and all of my trips to Michaels to buy your stencils and stamps. Watched you on QVC. WOW what a FANTASTIC surprise to see you on HSN. Have been a very close follower ever since. Happy 10 year ANNAversary! So looking forward to more great years with your GREAT products. Love Karen (from Maryland)

As I reordered my paper, I happened to check the packing label on the first box of Anna Griffin paper crafting products I bought on QVC. The date was October 2003. Never needed that label for returns, but had to laugh at how long I had held on to the beautiful box. The lovely products just keep coming!

I have been with you from almost the start, when you could only get you wood mounted stamps, brass stencils and push die cutters at Michaels. I eagerly awaited each new shipment. I would go to all the Michaels just to make sure that they didn’t have something different of yours. I watched you on QVC, in fact you are the reason I started watching QVC. I had to make sure that I was available for every show that had you in it. Now you are at HSN and again I have watched you from the beginning. If you can’t tell I love your products. I don’t get a lot of time to craft but when I do it usually has something of yours in it. Congratulations on Ten years with HSN.

I am sorry but I hate that I can only get most of your products on HSN. I like having choices on what companies I give my $$$ to and in my estimations HSN has fallen short many times. I am sure it’s a very lucrative deal for you but leaves your customers with no other options. I have been buying your products since you first started selling them. I have spent thousands of dollars on your products. But due to a dispute with HSN I don’t feel like I can give them my hard earned money . So that leaves me out in the cold after being on-ramp of your most loyal customers. Thank you for listening.

Hi Miss Anna, Happy 10th Annaversary! I watched you to begin with on QVC and followed you over to HSN.

My first purchase was one of your books (which I still have in my library today) on paper crafting. I started into scrapbooking and your work was amazing guide. I entered my work in two local county fairs that year and won over 75 awards (1st, 2nd & 3rd place) $250+ cash awards. All hand crafted items, a lot of recycled materials were used as well.

Then I advanced to the Cricut Expression 2 and I purchased probably 30 cartridges, one for every occasion or event. I was so excited for new adventures and it didn’t disappoint what little time I had to use it. I package it up and haven’t unpacked it yet.

My Father who had COPD (he never smoked) needed a caregiver, my Mom took care of essentials but she didn’t drive and refused to give medication. It was my honor for 5 years. However, I did watch YouTube videos while I would wait for his medication to finish in his port. And there were hundreds of doctors appointments. I am thankful for my Ford truck and my phone’s (several).

However, I did continue watching HSN crafts to keep up with the latest trends and designers.

I started buying Cricut Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, then Dies & Sets and anything to do with paper products and manipulating.

Then, I bought the Empress and I fell in love with the stand cards, they are so universal.

I used to make the never ending cards the old fashioned way, so I immediately purchased the new die and my Husband’s Christmas card was never ending.

Anna, thank you so much for crafting me through the hard times. I appreciate you and your design team so much words can’t express.

    God bless you.

    Hello Anna!

Congratulations on 10 wonderful years at HSN! I found you on HSN a few years ago when “flipping” through the channels, and I must say, I’m so thankful! You are such a kind and genuine person who makes everyone feel special. Thank you for all the wonderful products you offer (and I buy!) I only shop “ANNA” because I have found that your products are of superb quality! I think my best investment has been the Empress. (Before you launched it, I unfortunately bought a competitor’s electric die-cutting machine, and only used it once…..)

We are all looking forward to seeing you and your products in the many years to come at HSN!

I retired several years ago from a busy administrative position and was soon looking for something to fill my time . Cardmaking seemed a likely choice and I began purchasing products and watching u tube videos . When I found Anna on HSN I knew her products were for me. I purchased the Garden Window cardmaking kit and thought it was the most beautiful kit I had ever seen . Still do! Began buying only Anna Griffin products and gave away all the non-Anna items . Anna, I cannot thank you enough for all you do . Health issues keep me frequently housebound but still am able to craft . So much so that I have recently joined a volunteer group that makes greeting cards to send overseas to service men and women for them to send to their loved ones . Thank you Anna for all you do and for giving us the gift of the confidence to create . Your vision and creativity allows us to make beautiful things.

I have been with you Ms. Anna Griffin since before HSN. I have followed you in crafting , VIDEOS, (which I still use), learning to measure, cut, and fold, using a craft knife, (thank you), and the list goes on and on and on. My favorite part of all of your shows is the classy dresses you ALWAYS wear and the true southern belle of humility, class, and grace you always present. Your mother and grandmother would be very proud. You truly present the fact that you care deeply about the product you make and present and we people you help in the crafting field. A more genuine lady I know not and I don’t even know you personally but you make me feel like I do. Someday !

Hi Anna! I believe I found you in late 2009. Having to relocate due to my husband’s job, I knew I would no longer live close to family members. I was worried about what I would do with all the time I would have on my hands and being alone, as my husband is a professional driver. Flipping through TV channels one boring morning, I came across HSN and there was a crafting presentation airing. As I watched, it piqued my interest. I can’t remember exactly what product was being presented, but I remember thinking how a new hobby might fill the hours of being alone more bearable. So I started investing in card crafting. Well, I got so into it that my hubby started calling my craft room the “Anna Griffin” room! There’s a lot of cream and gold in there! In the past few years, I’ve extended my collection to include other brands as well. But, my room will always be the “Anna Griffin Room!” (the products will just have to be content with their space allotment.) Happy 10th Anniversary with HSN! I hope you will still be where I can find you for the next 10 years. BTW, I so love you blog. Tuesday Tutorials and Fan Mail Fridays are a “must watch” for me. Thank you and may God bless you!

Again, Congratulations! I love your products and I can’t wait to see you on HSN. As I said before I just received four items that I’m working on. However, I finished a card for a dear friend using the pulley kit florals. When I went to the Jewish assisted living to see my friend, I gave her the card I made. When she opened it the taped areas of the pulley were not attached. I was so embarrassed because I took such care creating the card. Please let me know how I can secure the card attachment more securely. This also happen with the Christmas kit. Again, I’m a newbie and I need your advice. Thank you for your time. I record your shows on HSN. I love your kits!?

Happy 10th Annaversary on HSN Anna! I started watching you on QVC with Suzanne Runyan & later lost touch with both of you as we didn’t get HSN. I rem. when she was pregnant with her son and now she said he is in Medical School! That is fabulous! Years later, I happened to see Suzanne on HSN Craft Day & was so thrilled to see you with her again! She is the best cheerleader for you! I think one of the most memorable moments was when you embossed a white paper bag! Even my husband was impressed! Loved the Cuddlebug and now the Empress makes crafting so easy. Following your blog I have become dear friends with one of your buddies, his name starts with R. so you know what a fan I am, June in Arizona. I should have gone to Create when he did, but was not able to at the time. Can’t wait to see you on the 27th & 28th. Hope Georgie & Duke are getting along now! I’m also into Genealogy and my roots go back to N.C. so maybe we are cousins. Looking forward to the next 10 yrs and what great surprises you have in store for us! Thanks Anna, you have helped me thru some long nights over the years and you always bring joy into my life! J.S.

Wow – you’ve got me thinking here… I must have started watching you on HSN the first year you were on. Maybe I didn’t realize then that was your first year. That is around the time I finished college and started getting back into crafting.
My favorite experience was calling in and actually getting to talk to you – Anna Griffin! I have talked to you twice on air. I was so amazed that you actually talked to regular people who called in. Both times I felt I lost my words and could never express how much I appreciate the elegance of your products and that you take the the time to figure out how to help us easily make beautiful things.
I have an entire shelf of your card kits and supplies and feel blessed to have them. I am also amazed at how I think I couldn’t possibly need one more thing then you come up with something new I had never imagined.
Your products are quality products, well thought out, and beautiful in the making!
One more thing – I went to your first Create Event and met you there which was awesome! You are even more gracious in person. I had never experienced anything like that and made a scrapbook of great memories. On that trip I made some new friends when we were getting on the elevator and had the same luggage – from HSN. 🙂
We still stay in touch even though we are in different cities. You have enriched my life more than you know.
Congratulations on 10 Years on HSN! I look forward to seeing you on HSN on the 28th!

Surprisingly I have to credit Martha Stewart for finding your beautiful paper products! I had just retired and started getting into papercrafting. I had found the Craft Day listings in my SAT guide and started watching Martha’s segments, bought some punches for scrapbooking. I saw your shows, but I didn’t think about card making at that time. After watching several series of Craft day, I was watching as you were demonstrating your embossing folders, the auto ship with the lace, paisley, blooms, etc. I think that was my first purchase and I was hooked! Congratulations on your 10th anniversary on HSN! You continue to bring us beautiful in the making!

HAPPY 20 YEAR HSN ANNIVERSARY ANNA! I don’t know how it’s been for you, but the past 10 years have been an absolute joy for me, filled with amazing products and creativity. I have been a crafter for many years now and, thanks to you, the quality and creativity of my crafts have improved ten-fold. Not only that, but your products have made crafting easier and way more fun too. Thank you so much. Here’s to the next 10 years … and MORE!

My Granddaughter and I make cards together every summer. We each make 150 cards and have them ready to use all year! Thank you! We couldn’t do it without you

How funny that Suzanne was your first co-host…she is how I came to discover your and your products as well! I had flipped over to HSN some years ago while you two were on and she was singing the praises of your Garden Window card kit. She is such an awesome AG fan that she convinced me to give it a try and I have been hooked ever since! She was not wrong or exaggerating about the quality and beauty of your products and she continues to be my favorite co-host with you!

    Happy HSN Anna-versary!
I have been a fan since long before your HSN appearances – your style has always been my absolute favorite. But thinking back to the many craft shows I’ve watched, two things stand out:
The first was when you presented the original AG Cuttlebug today’s special – it was magical seeing such beautiful designs appear at the crank of the handle! I knew at that moment that my efforts at crafting could become something special. (Given my limited artistic ability, it is just short of miraculous!)
The other is recurring; you are so obviously touched each time one of the legions of Griffinites tries to express how grateful we are for you – and the company you’ve built – for your talent, for your teaching, for your hard work, for your graciousness.
    Thank you.
    Regards, Anne

Anna, it cannot be said enough, your products and staff bring the highest quality and designs that bring resounding compliments I would never achieved on my own. Happy 10th Anniversary with HSN. I think my fondest memory has to be when I discovered how to make my scrapbooks look so beautiful and elegant using your different embellishments and then once the kits and dies started coming that was a game changer in my crafting life. I was so happy to have found you Anna you do not know how much you have influence my creative and love for crafting. I have used all kind of different brands to do my crafts and I always come back to your brand. Your brand has that suffocation and elegance that cannot be matched. I love all your items I am a huge fan of anything Anna Griffin. Your shows on HSN are my highlights of crafting updates. I get to buy the latest and best in crafting tools and materials. Thank you for what you do for us the crafters. Congratulation again on your 10th Anniversary with HSN and your 25th Anniversary creating beautiful crafting items for us.

I remember that we had a snow/cold day and I didn’t have to go to work. I was watching Anna on TV all through the night and morning. I had the opportunity to talk with Anna on the show and was so happy to finally tell her how I felt about the beauty of her products. I was in the process of making a memory book for my 94 year old grandmother and was planning on giving her the book at Christmas. Unfortunately, she passed away before I could give her the book. The book was viewed at her funeral and I was so proud to have the beauty that Anna provides with her products to showcase to my family. Thanks Anna for continuing to make us look good with your products!

Congratulations, Anna, on ten years of HSN! I recall that when you were crafting with Sandi Genovese, (and maybe with Carol Duvall), I used to find her shows on my very early computer, and with wide-eyed wonder, printed out EVERYTHING from the shows pertaining to your crafts! Somewhere, I have boxes of black and white printouts of how-tos and images of your projects! ha! If I recall, I bought my first color printer so I could print out images of your crafts in color! I first purchased stamps by you, and still have them- wood-block, and then the very earliest clear stamps. I was so thrilled when you started marketing those, because now I could see where I was stamping! I aIso bought those gorgeous boxes of ??Scrapbooking for All Seasons, I think it was called,?? or a Year of Scrapooking maybe… LOVE those beribboned boxes. After you left QVC, I lost track of you, and finally found you on Facebook, and was absolutely thrilled that you were right there and I just hadn’t known where to look! You were the beginning of new JOY in my life! I am SO grateful for you!

I just remember seeing the presentation for the open diorama cards back in 2015-2016 and was entranced. The ephemera simply struck a chord with me; it was the perfect blend of nostalgia and artistry. I’ve been hooked ever since! People almost expect my cards now and many keep them. I’m not as fancy or “into it” as some, but I have great pride in my work and ability to create something beautiful! My great thanks to Anna and her team!

Wow! I remember I was shopping for some specific Mrs. Grossman stickers. I started channel surfing and viola! There was Anna on tv! I was just starting out with an idea about crafting. I remember Lisa Bearman selling her scrapbook volumes- I bought all four or five. Amazed at all the beautiful layouts everyone had made. I thought- I will never be able to make layouts or cards like those! I was still shopping for Mrs. Grossman stickers! I was enthralled when Anna came on! The Cuttlebug! What technology I thought! YouTube- why didn’t anyone tell me about all of this? I could not stop watching! I wanted to buy EVERYTHING! It was three in the morning before I realized I had been up over twelve hours, glued to the television. The rest is history. Still look forward to Crafting Day on HSN! Still glued to the tv, and still looking for more hiding places for all the Anna stuff I did not buy- wink, wink. Thank you for helping me step out of the box in my crafting. I still use a sticker here and there, but now I can use one of my five Cricut cutting machines, still have my Cuttlebug, and a big case full of Cricut cartridges. Who knew a simple piece of paper could be transformed into one hundred compliments! Anna- you really are pretty special! Thanks for the memories. Now- I’m pretty sure I can carve out a small space in the back of my closet for the new crafting event! I just need to thaw out my Visa card and get the coffee ready. Anna- here’s to ten more years! You haven’t aged one bit in my book! You are grace, charm, and generosity. A beautiful lady. Blessings.

Years ago, 8 to 10 years ago, I was getting ready for work and you were showing this new machine that you stuff paper thru and the most beautiful embossed patterned paper came thru the other side. I had crafted all my like and had never seen anything like it. I ordered that machine, had to make payments of course, but it changed my world forever. (I was late to work) When it arrived I was reading the instructions to find that I also had a die cutting machine too, what a bonus! I made sure my sister and best friend got one too. We have been making cards and crafting together ever since. Well sort of together; Me in Florida, sister Linda in NC and Barbara in CA. Watching Anna now is THE event to watch for all three of us. I have watched you since you first started on QVC. Before that I had never thought of creating cards and scrapbooks. Maybe you could bring back some of the beautiful papers you had for the scrapbooks when you first started. It was a beautiful pink flowered scrapbook, with beautiful papers, some of the beautiful pages had lines to write on and a place to put photos. It would also be great if you would offer the die cuts that create the fancy folds, etc. I learned from you, how to produce them by hand and I missed out on the fancy fold die cuts. It would be fun to have them, as I plan to start scrapbooking again. It has been such fun to watch you develop your creativeness. I’m more amazed with your creations all the time. Congratulations on your anniversary with HSN. My first experience with Anna Griffin and, HSN for that matter, was Anna’s 2015 Christmas Card Kit. My husband bought it for me for my birthday that year. I was so excited to get it.. I have saved it so I could make cards with my niece or daughter. After 4 years of trying, they never stepped up to do it so, I finally used the box this year on my own. The cards were made quickly and were stunning. I am so sorry I waited. I have been with you since the beginning. I would watch HSN and just want to buy everything you displayed, I love floral anything so I was in my glory watching your presentation. Since I live in upstate New York, with craft stores few and far between, HSN became the place where I purchased all my beautiful card kits, paper packs and of course the beautiful paper flowers! As each craft day arrives, I would review the items. I would then limit myself to only 2 kits or products. Soon, that didn’t work with me. Your products weakened my resolve and I caved and bought what I wanted and then some.
It has been an exciting 10 years of Anna. Hope to see you at Diva Camp in June!

You, Anna are what brought me back to HSN. I had a bad experience with them and stopped shopping with them.

I ordered your first stamp set from QVC and watched it sell out in less than 3 minutes. But the QVC decided it was not profitable to sell crafts. That is when
you went to HSN. And I came along with you.

It has been much fun crafting along side of you these past 10 years and I look forward to the next 10 years.

I think HSN knew what QVC did not. There IS money in Crafting!!!

    Happy Annaversary!

Awe Miss Anna this is so exciting for you! Congratulations from the bottom of my heart. You are truly a bright light in my life and when anything is making life a little tough, I can always go sit and work with all my hundreds, if not thousands, of Anna products. It may sound silly, but crafting with you for over 15 years and 10 years on HSN has saved me many times mentally! I love everything you make and I cant wait to spend the next 10 years crafting with you! The highlight of my year was getting to Skype with you on Nov 5th. The genuine connection you have with your fans does not go unnoticed. My dream is to attend a Create and meet you in person someday, I will make it happen! Happy Annaversary!!!!! I look forward to a fantastic 2020 ?

I love beautiful, classy, elegant, soft colors, and I knew I had come home! I have never missed any of your shows and always buy several things. So, my craft room is 90% Anna, and that’s how I roll! When I was still working, I would come home and watch you, and called in and got to talk to you! That made my day! You have elevated my style ever so much. BTW, you are beautiful!

Anna – This is going to be fun! I am trying to figure out when I started to watch.? When I 1st started watching I thought it was an amazing gift God sent! I had just started Hep C treatments & had to leave working. So if you share which card kits came first then l’ll know! ? And have some fun shares. I’ve met some of the most wonderful friends here, including yourself. Genuine keepers & I haven’t met anyone in person YET. That’s all thanks you on HSN. And Suzanne Runyon is an EAGLES fan like myself. I picked a team so I could really connect with my son’s when their two different teams play.
When you 1st said you were from North Carolina, I connected. My Grandma on my Dad’s side was in Canton right outside of Asheville & I lived in Brevard when I was younger. Very good memories in those Smoky Mountains.

My sister-in-law introduced me to scrapbooking and Anna Griffin . She lived in Texas at the time while I lived in Ohio. We would scour the stores looking for Anna paper. She started a spread sheet with the numbers of the paper, those which we had and those we needed. I remember when we hit 1000 sheets. She moved back to Ohio, where we took Anna classes. We cut, pleated, and stamped Anna papers all by hand . On trips we would stop at every scrapbook store as we continued our hunt. Sadly, she passed away six years ago, but I continue the hunt. It’s much easier now with HSN becoming our source for Anna products. Thank you, Anna, for all the beautiful products you provide.

I watched you forever on QVC and when that stopped, I was lost! I was channel surfing one day and came across paper crafting on HSN. I was very happy and emailed HSN right away to tell them how their craft show would take off immediately if they would just look into hiring Anna Griffin. I’m sure they paid no attention to me because in a very short time after that, there you were. I’ve been with you every since. Please don’t ever leave us, again we would be lost! I recall an emotional customer testimonial I gave several years ago on HSN after a severe wrist fracture on Christmas day requiring surgery. After 2 weeks of recovery I pulled out one of your card kits and found I could craft one handed! I had always appreciated your artistry and the fact that you include a plethora of items to easily make a complete card. I cried that day knowing I could still create beautiful items even with my physical limitations and pain. It was truly instrumental in my healing process, particularly mentally/emotionally. Crafting beautiful things makes one’s soul sing!

Some days I can’t remember what I had for breakfast let alone early shows! I too picked up some of your products at Michaels and was able to order papers from a woman in Ohio. Still have so many of them. Over the years I have collected probably 90% of what you have sold. Recently one of my granddaughters was in one of my two craft rooms. They are overflowing with Art Bin boxes of your paper. And dies. I used to have a sewing room and a paper craft room. Now both rooms are so full that I have to take the supplies down to the kitchen to craft! Have an 8 foot table with Art Bin boxes full of dies. When my granddaughter asked her mom if I was a hoarder her reply was yes. I took offense to that since I have everything neatly stacked and in safe containers. I explained to my daughter that when I do an embroidery on my sewing machine I need a supply of different colors of threads. So even though a design may have 20 stitches of a color I have to buy the entire spool of thread. So I have spools neatly arranged in cases and stacked on a unit behind a curtain to protect them from light. I also have an entire wall of bookcases on crafting books. And a huge cutting table that I rescued from the toss out pile at JoAnns. Then there are the bins of paper and dies. All things that I need to have for when inspiration strikes. I look at them not as a hoard any more than I look at a machine shop for having all types of tools or a woodworker who has a variety of hand and power tools and wood on hand. Every piece of paper, every die, every embossing folder or embellishment or ink is a tool. This week would be my 50th wedding anniversary, but my husband and I divorced and he died the same day. So I need something to maintain my sanity. If that is my tool shed of sewing and crafting supplies then call it a hoard, I don’t care! It isn’t like those hoarding shows where people live in filth with junk piled everywhere. What is in a name, right! I also have lots of items in drawers for when the girls would come and want to do craft projects. They sure didn’t mind my supply of products and tools when they wanted to make something! I am now at the point that I will die before I ever get to use it all. But that doesn’t stop me from wanting something new. I don’t drink, smoke, go out to eat, gamble, so this is my one big vice! Crafting keeps me off the streets and out of trouble! Arthritis keeps me from traveling so you have been part of what keeps me going.

    • Weatherly Whitener says:
      January 8, 2020 at 4:21 pm

Oh Hobo! Loved reading your post. You are not a hoarder, they are not neat or organized and you are. I love what you said about being at the point you will die b4 using all your goodies. I am right there with you. Wish you were my neighbor. I would visit you and stand in awe of your 2 craft rooms full of all Anna & everything else you have collected throughout the years. Also, I am the same as you in that I don’t drink(much), nor smoke at all, don’t gamble, don’t really care to go out and eat and I hate travelling. So Annacrafting brings me joy along with the ones who receive the cards I send or hand deliver. What will happen to us when Anna retires? I don’t even want to think about it. May you live a long time more.

I am with you on the bins. I live in the damp Pacific NW. I bin all crafting paper product with id, dry packet, and low light. They are stacked carefully in a room with a 45degree ceiling. The wall is only 4ft tall where the ceiling joins it, so this awkward space is put to use by stacking bins in higher stacks two deep as the ceiling rises. It is my paper warehouse. I can keep it all neat and available. They are like paints to a painter for me. Anna Griffin/Cricut is 90% of my stash. Hoarding, no way. Ready for all manner of paper crafting. Thank you, Anna. Life is exciting because of you.

Happy 10th on HSN, Anna. My favorite Anna Griffin memory isn’t so much about Anna and one particular instance, but about me and how she changed my life. I followed Anna years ago on QVC when I was scrapbooking. Life got in the way and there was no time, or room, for scrapbooking so all my supplies got boxed up and forgotten.

Years later, due to a serious health issue, I was confined to a hospital bed in my house. I wasn’t able to do anything except watch TV. About five years ago, while channel flipping, I saw Anna and stopped to watch the familiar face. It turned out to be the HSN channel during a 24 hour crafting event. I watched Anna put a card together and at that moment I knew I was going to make cards. I was never one for sending cards. At best, I only sent the cheap dollar store cards to close family members for a birthday. I never sent sympathy, congratulations, get well, or even Christmas cards! When I was so ill, people sent me get-well cards right and left, and it gave me such a lift to receive those greetings and well wishes. When my health permitted, I started making cards, using Anna’s products, and sent them to every family member and for every occasion I could possibly think of. I wanted to ‘Pay It Forward’ to all those who remembered me in my illness. I love making cards and look forward, every day, to creating new ones. I still have the health issue, but making cards helps me deal with it and the problems it causes. Seeing Anna on HSN that day brought a new meaning to my life. I will forever be grateful to her.

Anyway, I watched you on QVC and ordered and I moved to my 1 bedroom condo in 2010 and found you on HSN. I’ve bought so MANY of your card kits etc. that I’m now renting an office downstairs, don’t tell my family, and I call it Mary-Anna’s craft room. I can’t thank you enough for all the joy you’ve given me and other widows too. I got a call yesterday from a friend near Chicago saying how much her friends enjoyed the Christmas cards she sent, the vellum sayings one I made for her. I could go on and but I’ll leave space for others to chat with you. All the Best and see you on the 27th!

I’m a crafter that loves to make the fancy fold cards and bags, boxes, etc. You have provided dies to make the kinetic cards and love it. Hi Anna,
I remember watching you first on another shopping channel and then when you moved to HSN. I think my first purchase were original bell dies and coordinating embossing folders.
I still love using them, although I went on to purchase a small fortune in Anna Griffin products; all of which are elegant and well manufactured. Still have the tiny flourish punch set too!!

I have a 2 questions: Would you ever consider making a metal die to match the Perfect Presents and Harlequin Bows embossing folders. And, would you consider bringing back some of the older dies and older 6″ X 12″ embossing folders.

Thank you and your awesome team for all you do.

Congratulations on your 10th Anna-versary at HSN!

Oh Anna! I’ve been with you since your time w/QVC, and was thrilled Suzanne & you were on HSN!! Anna, you timeless and beautiful designs got me into crafting again! Your designs won’t go out of style, which was something that was discouraging before, as I hated to waste money. Because of you, I bought the AG Cuttlebug, and became a card maker!! You assured me that even I could do it. Your products are the best quality in the business! Thank you for taking the guess work out of it for us non-artists, knowing your palettes will be beautiful! Happy Anna-versary!!! Here’s to more beautiful in the making!!

My favorite memory is a recent one and one that is personal to me. My “finally” getting to Skype with Miss Anna this last November!!! After 2 botched tries the third time WAS the charm and we finally made it on air! This is a memory that I will treasure the rest of my life… and one I’d happily recreate at anytime. Thank You dear Anna for a beautiful memory for me! Love you for who you are and all that you do for us in the crafting world! You and all at AG Inc are the BEST!!!

A special note of thanks to your Miss Stephanie who offers wonderful customer service. She is so good at her job and there are many out there in the world that could take a lesson or two from her. She is second to none!!!! Thank You Miss Stephanie!

I have been watching Anna Griffin since she was on QVC with Suzanne. I used to put the programs on my VHS tapes so I could watch them over and over again. I loved everything I received in the mail in the big boxes. I have a beautiful craft/scrapbook room my son, DIL and Granddaughter set up for me with 2 large storage shelf units from Home Depot. each shelf has boxes of Anna’s different card kits, beautiful papers, metal dies and stamps, ink pads several different machines from my first Cuttlebug and my latest the Mini Embossing and Die cutting machine plus 3 different Cricuts all the boxes are marked on the end with return address labels with what is in each box such as “Just for her or Him, ” birthdays, Pop-up card kit or Christmas Papers in the beautiful box with the big red bow wrapped around the box. I have a 4 foot long table we purchased at Costco with a oh so comfortable high back office chair that we found at a second hand office furniture store where I live that is fabric on wheels so easy to move around to reach different supplies from the shelves. I first was introduced to Anna and her wonderful products when she was on QVC I think I purchased everything she had on the program with Suzanne that day. Then I was so upset when QVC stopped having their craft days. I started to get the Creative Keepsake magazines back then so I could continue to make hand made cards which I had been making since I was in first grade back in the early 1950’s and scrapbooks for my family and friends. At that time my sister and I would talk for what seemed like hours about everything we had either purchased or wish we had gotten after the programs were over for the day. Sadly she lost her battle with Dementia 2 years ago. A couple of years ago after I placed an order on HSN I was asked if I was wanted to speak with Anna I said YES, if felt like I was on hold for a very long time but how exciting it was to talk with her and Suzanne live on air with both of them. A memory I will treasure always. I have my DVR all set for the first 24 hour Craft Day for the year 2020. I will be up to watch the entire day will actually 25 hours and have my landline phone by my recliner chair ready to place my orders with my pen and paper to write down the information even though I will receive an email from HSN with each order I have placed. Can’t wait for January 27th and 28th to get here it makes me so happy to see all the wonderful new products and to watch the demos that Anna does even with the some times mistakes that happen on live broadcasts or having to move on to the next item because what they were talking about has Sold Out so fast ! It’s on my Bucket List is to be able to attend a Create event in the future until then I will continue to watch all the 24 Hour Craft Days on HSN ! Congratulations Anna celebrating 10 years of crafting/scrapbooking on HSN and wishing you many more in the future Hugs and Love

Anna, I remember you and Suzanne from your days on QVC. I was so disappointed when QVC got rid of their Craft Day. But then, I was extremely elated to see HSN pick you up & continue on with the 24 hr craft days! I work as a nurse, so I miss a lot of those days. However, as soon as I come home, I scroll through the computer on HSN to see all the products I missed and to rewatch your video recordings of the earlier displayed products. This Christmas, all of my presents were requests from Anna plus one warm comfy throw! Thank-you Anna for your blog, your wonderful product give-aways, your website and shop plus all the wonderful creations you continue to bring to HSN to beautify our homes & world! Happy 10th Annaversary to Annamazing beautiful woman! HSN needs to refer to you as Annamazing!!! I hope some day I get the privilege to attend Create. I was working this past year when the email announcement came out to register. When I checked during my lunch break, it was completely sold out. Some day Anna I want to personally meet you……that is my dream!

Ten years ago started my tradition of “clearing the calendar” so I could just stay home all day to watch Anna Griffin on HSN! I didn’t want to miss anything that you had to present because, more often than not, they flew out the window FAST! That tradition continues for me. I look forward to your appearances like a holiday and have a sense of letdown when your last show airs. Thanks for all the wonderful products, sharing ideas and techniques, and mostly sharing yourself with us. I look forward to many more years! I have been a raving fan since I first found the AG products and thought they were so elegant! It’s my style! I have been crafting all my life, tried a number of “trends” but always returned to Anna and her style. She’s so talented and is eager to share her success with others! She always presents herself with a kind heart and huge smile! Loved the early days with Sandi Genovise, the CK magazine (subscribed to them all and still have so many of them.) Then on to QVC and remember how much fun it was to set up my first auto ship with the scrapbook albums! Whether it’s been QVC or HSN, and now the fabulous experiences of Create, she’s that same Southern lady who wants to get to know her clients, resulting in her creating a AG crafting family across the country. I registered for Create 1 having no idea what the weekend experience would bring. And she was a gracious host and teacher who created a weekend of learning, meeting fellow crafters, and creating friendships! She’s amazing, kind and caring.

About five years ago I had a serious automobile accident that left me injured for life. I started making cards to get my mind off of pain. It’s amazing how crafting can relax me, and I believe kept me from getting depressed. I bought my first card kit from Anna (first time shopping hsn too) around 4 years ago. She taught me how to use a Cuttlebug (I watched the how to build your sandwich video for the machine over and over), and how to learn really everything I now know. I bought all of my tools from Anna and now have my own craft room. I can’t always craft everyday but love it when I can. Thank you Anna for bringing so much joy to so many people!

    Hi Anna,
I used to receive CK magazine,
so I do remember that ad.
    I don’t remember which show
it was, but you were having a
day while you were trying to
do a demo of your products.
    Things were not cooperating
with you. It kept happening to
You and you got frustrated and
    started talking to your products
( Just like I do! ). I felt bad for
you, but then I started laughing,
because I know how those Days
can be ?, it was funny to me
    because you’re always so calm.
Thanks for sharing with us Anna,
nostalgia is always fun! Have a
good day, see you soon. Debbie

I really enjoy the looking back at your tenure on HSN. It’s great fun. I first found you at a book/stationary store. I bought a set of rubber stamps, which I still own, and remember thinking, this is my style. Building my career while battling an illness, kept me from diving deeper into scrapbooking and I never considered making cards at that time. Now when I’m looking at products to use, I come back every time still thinking your products are exactly the style I want to use to create, Best wishes for many more years of success for you and delight for those of us whom you inspire.

I have been watching Anna on HSN from the very beginning and I have a craft room to prove it!!!! At least twice (if not more) I took a vacation day to watch Anna on those 24 hour craft events. The next day my staff would ask me how many boxed would be delivered and whether we could craft after work!!! They even gave me an HSN gift card with instructions to only use it for the next HSN Craft Event!

I don’t have one memory that stands out, but what I have enjoyed most throughout the last ten years is seeing the the “lights go on” in the eyes of the HSN host… and how their craft knowledge and skills have developed along with those of use watching! Providing Anna’s products on HSN (especially with their flex pay options) has made crafting with her products more affordable and attainable for many. My family and friends have enjoyed all of the many cards created with her products and they look forward to their annual gift of all occasion cards they get at Christmas.

Anna’s creative gift and genuine kindness has enriched the lives of many and I look forward to watching her on HSN for many years to come!!

Happy 10th anniversary with HSN! I look forward to the next craft event .

You were as gracious then as you are now and I have loved your evolution in card making techniques and products and I have evolved into quite a card maker myself. You always challenge us to ‘be creative; ‘use what you have’ has been your mantra and my favorite Anna Griffin, challenge: don’t be afraid to experiment. I have sent you some cards for fan mail Friday and you have showcased a few of them — and boy that made me feel ever so special. Happy 10th Annaversary and congratulations on all your many successes; you are a force to behold and I am so thrilled I can finally call myself an Griffinite!

You have brought such joy not only into my life but to those that receive my Anna Griffin cards. A frequent comment I hear when the recipient sees the card is ” oh my what a beautiful card”. Whatever the occasion, be it a birthday ,Christmas, or even a time of sorrow, you have provided me and countless others the means to bring a little joy into someone’s day. And also the feeling that they matter because they know that I took the time to make them this beautiful card to which I have included words of cheer and comfort. My very first craft purchase ever was Anna’s beautiful big green floral box with the grosgrain ribbons on QVC! Your work touched something in me and fired my own creativity in a new and exciting way. When craft shows were no longer scheduled on QVC, my heart was broken but I collected as many Anna Griffin videos as I could and recorded shows on the DIY network to catch any show with Anna demonstrating projects. I scoured the stores and bought individual sheets of your papers! What a joyful day it was when I learned that Anna was coming to HSN! I had loved the pajama party craft shows HSN used to have, but bringing Anna to the lineup created an entire new level of crafting. I have been with you every step and have loved every design (and bought most of your items, too!) It’s hard to explain the happiness you bring to my soul when I can work with your beautiful craft supplies and share my creations with people I love.

Your company is amazing and generous, and you are a fabulous example of a woman-owned business that ensures that we can learn the hand-made techniques that mean so much and need to be passed on, but in our fast-paced world are often replaced with store-bought convenience in many peoples’ lives. I can’t wait to see all the amazing goodies you will be bringing in 2020 and beyond and I sincerely thank you for all that you do. Happy Anniversary!!

Has it only been 10 years with HSN ! I actually have your today’s special from back then-it was an auto ship of pre decorated scrapbooks ! They are just as beautiful now ass they were then. No trendy, of the moment “stuff”-just simply elegant pages, and your style has remained constant over the years ! I remember being impressed with the timeless beauty of the pages as I received each book, as well as the quality of your papers and embelishments, which you have continued to today ! Congratulations on 10 years on HSN! Many more years to you and your company !!

HAPPY HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!! Love all your products, I have been an Anna Griffin fan since 1987, I still a scrapbook page in my son’s baby book, when we did the pleating by hand and measuring. I would get so excited when I could find your items in a store. And now, I still get excited each time you bring new items to HSN.

Well, not to AGE myself, I’ve been with you on the “other” station and from day one with HSN. It is like seeing a dear friend, one you’ve actually met and shared “crafting” moments with. The banter between you both is so adorable and the laughter is very much a part of our, the viewers, experience. I’m looking forward to each and every moment in the coming years! Congrats on 10 yrs. with HSN, they are truly blessed to have you !

My first Anna Griffin purchase was the Christmas pop up card kit. I had made my own pattern and was ready to start scoring and cutting by hand. Jumped at the chance to buy the kit so the cutting was already done. The cover layers, sentiments, flourishes and holly were especially nice to give a more professional look to some of the elements that I had already made.
During the Christmas season, my 6 year old granddaughter, saw the pop up cards on tv. She said, “My grandma makes these!” and she proudly showed them off to her friends.
    Thanks Anna.

I have been buying your gorgeous products from years ago when I first started scrapbooking and bought a kit from Michael’s craft store. It had papers with instructions how to cut and fold to make the border around the page. Then I bought papers at an online store. Then a local store opened and it sold your papers, and when the owner was going to buy papers she had a sheet of the new papers and she would order some just for me. Then you were on QVC and by then I also made cards, and you had a card kit that you folded paper. Now for 10 years I have been shopping at HSN. Happy Anna-versary Anna! Keep bringing gorgeous products!

Thank you for all the beautiful craft products you and your team create – we love everything!

My first dies were Anna Griffin. I used a friends huge die cutter from another company. It had a large handle that pushed it through. I bought the cuttlebug and have enjoyed the beauty of die cutting ever since, upgrading the machines and adding the Cricut! It was a small green machine. Now the Cricut Air has a place of honor in the craft room. What a lot of growing and learning.

I live in the UK and many years ago I was persuaded to go to a card making class at a craft shop and the owner had been to the US and brought back a load of Anna’s stamps, papers, inks etc and I still have the card I made that day !! I’ve bought from Plaid and from Anna since then and look forward to the treasured appearances in the UK. OK so we don’t get the same choice and we don’t have sales and Create but we all still care so much about having the best – from the best…Keeeeeeeep crafting.

I remember placing an order for Anna’s lovely products and being asked if I would like to wait to speak on air with Anna and Susan. I was nervous but it was fun chatting with them but especially Anna since I admire her so much! I hung up after the call and the phone immediately rang. It was my daughter-in-law calling from San Diego because she was watching too and just knew that had been me on the phone with Anna! How fun is that!

I was quite ill (8 years ago) and off work for 3 months. Watched an Anna Christmas card kit presentation. I thought I would order it to help me pass the time. Made every card in the kit, and mailed them out to my family. In laws, cousins, siblings. I heard from family that I hadn’t talked to in years. I reconnected with a lot of people because of your beautiful cards. I’ve ordered every year since. And I never miss the 24 hour craft events. I’m retired now, lots more time to craft. Thank you for all of the beauty you allow us to share with others.

My favorite HSN moment of all will always be the time I got to skype with Anna and Helen about the Lila paper set. It was my first time “meeting” Anna and I was pretty nervous. Anna was so gracious and interested, though, it was really fun. I still think of Lila as “my” paper!

I think my favorite moments are when you are demonstrating something and it goes wrong. You just handle it like a pro and say well, I did that wrong. I try and teach others my craft and sometimes stuff just goes WRONG! You make it look so easy! I’ve been following you since you wrote your first book. Back when we were all cutting things by hand with a metal ruler and a craft knife….my how far we’ve come. I try and emulate your style always, it’s just so classic and beautiful. Love you girl♡

I have had to cut back on my craft spending the last couple of months. I’m looking forward to seeing the new products. One of the reasons for cutting back is due to lack of available storage. It seems I have out grown my craft room. I have reviewed the best way in which to rearrange because the space as they say, it is what it is. Sorry didn’t mean to rattle on. I’ll be watching on the 27th and the 28th.

I was shocked and privileged about ten years ago to meet you in person at a craft show. The one thing I tell people is that you are really that sweet, and kind in real life.
I am an Anna enthusiast. I usually buy two of everything. One to just look at and collect. I have your original papers from much longer than 10 years ago that had purple morning glory’s on them
and months of the year. Thank you for decorating my life with such beauty. Nana

Heck, I remember you on QVC! That was my first introduction to you and your wonderful products. I remember Suzanne on QVC also! When QVC stopped having the Craft Days and cut back on all of their crafting products, I was really upset because I had no idea where to find you. I could find some of your products at Michaels, but those were limited and nothing like the wonderful scrapbook kits you used to put together and sell on QVC. I remember how devastated I was…..Then there you were on HSN! I will forever love HSN for picking up the ball and running with it when so many of us were saddened by the demise of the 24 Hr. Craft Day on QVC. Through you and your influence on the paper crafting world, I have made so many wonderful friends and learned so many crafting techniques to enhance my creativity. The one thing that will forever stand out in my memory is that moment at my first CREATE when you actually knew who I was and remembered that I love mascara roses!! You are truly amazing….. Happy 10th Birthday!

I remember the first time calling into Anna on HSN and being so nervous and terrified to talk to THE Anna Griffin who I had followed since early 2001. I had such admiration for her. When I called in, she put me completely at ease. Also, I remember how shocked I was when I first saw Anna on TV with Sandy Genovese. She looked like this picture, so young and pretty and sweet (although even now she hasn’t changed that much.). I had the impression in my head at that point that she was much older. Also, a funny thing to say but I now feel comfortable saying it because I know Anna. My biggest fear coming to Create for the first time was that I was afraid Anna was going to be different than she appeared on TV. Boy, was that fear ever allayed. So down to earth and such a “regular”’person. I was so honored to sit with her at the dinner that night but I was definitely star struck and, at times, still am!
